My fans have no faith in me lol

Ahead of the start of the Campeonato Nacional competition, a spokesman for the Team Razer supporters spoke to the local media regarding the fans' expectations of the upcoming season. In his opinion, the club faces a tough season and what will satisfy the fans will be Brave fight for any points.

It should be calculated from the average team marks from previous season.
It, almost certainly, is. Probably have some influence, but probably money in club budget is more important. Those are two main factors, probably.

I think that fan club and ranking have rather low influence if any. Fan club is more probable to have any. Ranking could be used to measure squad potential, but I am almost sure that the potential is measured with team marks.

Also, everything probably calculated in context of given league.
But as You can see, there is a lot of "probably" in what I have written, so it might also be something different. We can only guess.

The devs are probably not reading this anyway...
Raul might be, but I doubt he is.

Yeah, the money in club budget could be my problem. But the "supporters" cannot see that, so imho average team marks should have the most influence.

I would say money have biggest influence.

Last season stats before promotions/relegations:
Średnie oceny indywidualne: (avg seasonal marks)
67.2 Wisła Stoki
60.4 Olympique Regal
60.2 F.C. Tuchola Rangers
58.6 Rembertovia
TEMPLAR Knights
57.7 K S Treborikowo
54.3 FC Mangol
52.7 Wisła 1906 Kraków
50.6 HimNae
43.3 OSW Południowi (L)egioni...
37.1 KS Mazur Olecko
33.1 WIDZEW_ŁÓDŹ

Final standing was that Wisla team was on 8th place. However in this season this team is expected to win my league based on supporters expectations ;)

Yes- this game is hard to learn.

I've taken it upon myself to tutor new US users if they are willing.

I definitely think that money is the biggest contributor to stats and supporters' expectations. I have insanly high marks despite being newly promoted to Swedish highest division with a very young team compared to my opponents. To expect that my team will finish 2nd this season is completely unrealistic, money does not play football, players do.
2023-12-22 12:04:18
I have exactly the same opinion.
2023-12-22 12:36:14
money does not play football, players do.

I agree; but of you have a very big bank account (and I don’t know how, but Supporters know that), it is logical that Supporters will expect that money turn into Players and get results…

Age of players probably does not matter (at least it should not imo), being newly promoted also.

If fans of your club see that your club plays at relatively high marks and you have relatively big amount of money then it is understandable that they have high expectations, because you can use that money to strengthen the club. Whether you do so, it's your choice, but fans should expect that you do what you can to win.
Having young team is also a choice you have made which has its consequences (weaker now, stronger as the seasons passes) but you have the means to have stronger team, more competitive etc. You just decide not to use them or use them in a way which causes your team to be weaker now than it could be (e.g. if you would buy older players for the same price as these young ones you have, your team would be stronger but fans shouldnot be interested how you manage the money, they somehow know that you have them and expects the best use of it, "the best" in terms of team advancement)

the problem is that money on the account seems to have much more value than money already spent on players

so 10m on the account is worth more than a player that cost 10m
2023-12-22 12:46:37
Exactly, if manager knows that it's the players who are important then why he is hamstering the money? Or why he used it on weak players (young but weak compared to older ones for the same price)?

Not saying that heartbone as done that, just trying to explain how I would expect it to work.

Also, there might be some bugs in that mechanism, but without info about budgets of league clubs it is hard to tell if something is fishy here, at least it's difficult for us, devs still should observe how the expectations work (they might not, though, but they should).

But I have no problems with my supporters expecting something better than one would do with a team like mine, since I have more cash saved. But at the moment it seems like a player valued 1 million euro is worth far less than its market value when calculating a team's marks. Or, if you prefer, having 10 million in the account would get you several such players, which is obviously not the case.

At the end of the day I do not even know how much this will impact my income, but I wonder what would happen if I were to spend all my money to buy a super team - would my supporters' expectations decrease despite being far more competitive in my division? This would be a total nonsense...
2023-12-23 19:48:51
Yes, if you spend your money for better players it will decrease your fans expectations. This feature was introduced as a way to force managers to spend their money.
2023-12-23 19:55:31
You spend money so you get what? Lower expectations? Which will affect exactly what?
You maybe loose 100 000 $ per season.
Spending money on top players will you cost much more per week on salaries.

I can confirm based on my league expectations from previous and current season ;)
