Asunto: NEWS Sokker- big changes are coming!

There is almost no main part left as the game is becoming less and less interesting even for old users and where is revolution and other new users?

Increase the success bonus in the top leagues. Think of a team. It became champion for 4 seasons in a row, and in the 5th season, it had to rejuvenate because it could not renew its squad. You can earn a maximum of 3-4m from match revenue in a season. Sponsorship fees are very low anyway. Player salaries and coach salaries are not covered. If a very high-level player does not come from the youth team, your maximum earnings that season will be 4-5m. When you sell the old players you have, you lose at least 5m for each player. There must be a sustainable system for successful teams. That's why success bonus and sponsor money should increase.

3 seasons (8 months) I must have a player in my team to reduce the fee to a minimum of 10%. So users are punished for market activity which is one the few things that makes this game alive.

I guess I will just buy training players, set up corner tactics, and become inactive except checking up on training progress on Thursday. Nothing else makes sense here. Playing for results requires constant squad changes which becomes even more expensive now and it is not rewarded enough plus it is complicated to train young players at the same time.

It's not that easy as you think... people usually write the easiest and most obvious ideas here but don't think how they will influence the game...

The problem of this game is that short-term trading is so easy and so profitable - that should be limited and the tax should start at 50% for first weeks, but go down to 10% faster than now (after 1-1.5 seasons at max)

The problem of this game is that other activities are NOT profitable or not as much profitable - long term training should be rewarded, investing time & money into youth school should be rewarded, achieving results should be rewarded etc.

But at the same time you can't make playing at the top & winning TOO profitable because otherwise the teams at the top will always stay at the top and those below won't be able to reach them - such things need a really good balance and I'm afraid current owners are unable to do it properly.

lol, long term training is rewarded asf
i buy player at 17yr for 2M and sell him at 24y for 20M with only 10% transfer fee, what can be more profitable?

Why should I even try hard daytrading, that has become a joke after all these restrictions were implemented. The number of users that do that effectively is so low that is not even worth the mention.

But many users including me make bad investment decisions every now and then. I bought the 11th training player so I have to sell the one weaker I bought several weeks ago. I bought old player several weeks ago that has too high wage, dropped on skills or has low form now. I changed long term plans so I have to make sales to restructure the squad.

I, as an ordinary player, not a daytrader, am being punished for just playing this game actively.

lol

first of all that's a VERY optimistic scenario that you are giving here :) and it's still not "good money"

that's a profit of 18m in 7 seasons - so a 2.5m profit a season

you can make much more in 5 weeks on one training spot

Speedy who was annoyed by the higher tax sold a player bought for 1m euro and sold for 10m euro after 2 months
That's a 9m euro profit in ~half a season

do you see the difference? do you see why fast trading should have a higher tax and should be limited?
2024-01-03 12:10:21
But this could be solved by a tax on net profit made on fast trades.
2024-01-03 12:15:40
Yes, it could. I never said that their choice or the % they used are correct and the best option possible. All I'm saying is that there is a need to limit the fast trading because it's a cancer of this game and the source of many economic problems.

At the same time you're giving an example of a player trained for 7 seasons - he will have a 8% tax, so lower than before.

They could also make the "extra" tax concern only u30 players, or u28 players. The problem is they never think thoroughly about what they are doing so they were thinking about traders of youth players and didn't take a moment to think how the new tax will fuck up the subs/older players/short term injury solution players etc.

10m euro in 2 months is a VERY optimistic scenario too :-D

It should be said, the basic problem is too control prices on market, 9m profit in half a season just for one trading it's just "cheating", adding taxes will not never solve this.

Of at least, a tax on plus value not a tax for each transactions.

Main asset of very young players is their talent, but it's a hidden asset without talent screenshots. If someone buys random 16/17yo with good enough skills and he turns out to be a top talent then it's normal that his market value will be immediately multiplied, it's like winning a lottery. You may increase your chances a bit by doing some basic calculations, but it's still a lottery (unless you have a talent screenshot from owner).
Talent knowledge is worth a lot more than some small difference in skills on low levels. You can have two players with similar skills, one with talent 3.2 and the other with talent 4.0, first one will be material for a top player in their prime, the other will only be a good (but not great) player. Can't control prices on that.

It's always the small adjustments that are made, and that is frustrating because we, and Sokker itself, need big adjustments well thought through, to work for the benefit of the game. But these taxes ad nothing towards the vision of playing for competition! As long as the work on Sokker is not taken seriously, you cannot expect the game to be played seriously by the players.
2024-01-03 17:19:02
They obviously don't have enough money anymore for big changes and lack the vision to influence the game by a number of smaller changes
2024-01-03 20:16:17
Sure...but then they should just focus on bug fixing in stead of these minor, incovenient changes nobody asks about!
2024-01-03 23:04:55
A 200 percent tax should be introduced and the buying and selling of players should be banned.
I don't think any player would like to lose what they have.

2024-01-04 01:21:27
They want to level everyone down there and will end the game!

2 simple ideas that would dominate the infraction:
Retirement of coaches, from 60 years old to 80 years old.

create Worldclass players in bot teams and launch them on the market, this way the money disappears in a team without users.

Don't attract new users and drive out the old ones who keep the game alive. DEPRESSING!
