Asunto: Tactics advice

please specify, cause i very rarely get long trough passes because of the move back and move forward, but when in heavy defence i do.... and that last thing i would love to do something about

i think your opponents dont watch your games :)
when the ball is on the middle of the field and one square forward, your defs are standing same. this means, when the opponent gets the ball there and play through passes, in this moment your defs will only watch , they have to run back.

akuna and others.... how about my new attempt, made a lot of changes.. 1. the def not running forward at any time, and running back earlier.....2. more wide midfield, will cost ball pressure, but im screwed when opponent play sideways with old... 3. more narrow def

imo defs ok when ball in your half. but when it is on opponents half your defs stand very risky. you make big holes in cetrum of your defs. your 3 center defs have to stand closer and secure the centre.

your right... good with others eyes to see what you missed.. :) thx

you're welcome:)

I think that is ok for the defenders, but if the opponent has really strong attacking wing-midfielders you could change the line-up so your fastest defenders will be the wing-defenders.

And for number 4 it is smart to use your midfielder with the highest defending and pace skills.

EDIT: This tactic is about the same but with some small differences: Sokker Tactic 532. You could change the position of number 4, place him more forwards if you are on the half of the opponent, so it becomes more a 442/451 like the other tactic. You could try both in friendlies to see which 1 is better for you, and make changes if this is necessary and better for your team :)

Im sry to say this, but the tactics are not good, too static, and too less players pressing the opponents with the ball...

I don't look at the tactic like that, if my tactic is finished I move the ball all over the field to see how fluent everything goes and if this is ok then it's good for me. Besides, I have no problems with that in my matches with the Sokker Tactic 532. The opponents can move a bit forward but will be stopped by my def-mids and defs.

The other tactic that I posted (Sokker Tactic Basic 532) is more kick-and-rush football.

And number 4 is a key-position in my tactic. First of all he is the backup for my def-mids but also he makes sure the defs won't run towards the ball and break the line of defenders ;) If in your tactic the number 3 leaves his position because he runs towards the ball, a big gap appears in the center of your defense and I have very bad experiences with that.

sry i only watched the two first links you posted, the 5-3-2 turning into 4-4-2 is pretty nice.... i made something similar with danish u/21, just it was a def mid covering wingback.. :) but the field you look at is when the opponent have the ball longer back (one field longer away from your goal), so i still think you need your sidemids to cover that spot more (where the opponent really has the ball) .. :)

And yes, your tactic is much better in center def, but the wings are very open, and several of my opponents have very good wingers (70+ rating)

adaca para adaca
but got a bit inspired, so i made the opposite wing of where ball is go further in so i could do a single side by side.. :)
Because i also experienced a lot that when def stepping forward, the def gets open
