Asunto: National Team

Yeah well I got issued an assignment pretty much due with in the week which took myself about 20-25 hours to complete, so that's where my time went. Very rarely does that happen so yeah I was banking on the Saturday morning as I knew what I wanted to use against them, but it wasn't to be.

I'll have the tactic set for Italy well in advance as usual, as I'm back to normal routines now.

Just got to find a way to make our strikers convert better.

nah, although I'm not too far away from it.

I'm studying IT & Economics, although mainly focussing towards the information systems side of things in IT.

lol im doing engineering. its only first year, and i get more than 20 hours per week. damn commerce students.... some bastards get a 4 day weekend every week...

i dread what will happen when i get to second or third or fourth year >

yeah my commerce subjects only take 3 days a week whereas my chem takes 4 days =p

Ok, no mishaps from myself this week. Taking on Italy, in short we can't make the next round and so this really is for pride.

Don't expect to get away with anything from this game either but hopefully it won't be a slaughtering and we are able to create a few chances.

30 minutes to the start now. I'm not really nervous because I know whatever the result we exit the tournament but it would be nice to score a goal to get off the 0 mark.

Didn't think we deserved to get beat 5 - 0, once again we just can't take chances, I have absolutely no idea why. Least we had more possession then them so that's a positive. Zdrilic was probably best on ground for our side although Moon chipped in from time to time in the 2nd half.

Btw- I would rather play with Croxall as the only att, because he would have good enough skills to cooperate with Zdrilic

I would disagree. I think Byers was better for this situation, only thing I perhaps could have done was to use Croxall as the sub instead of Hrehoresin but I don't think it would have made much difference at the end there anyway.

As for Mautore, been someone who has been pushing for a spot for some time, at least according to the skills I have been given. Since Broxton, Garland were both out for this match and Nikas in tragic form, I had to resort to looking for our next best alternative.

What can you do when the strikers refuse to pull the trigger? Not about positioning this time, they just wouldn't shoot. Pity, 'cos we deserved a goal or two. Byers had a Holman of a game.
Is North not around atm?

North is around still. Today's benched mids were chosen specifically for certain roles. The problem is with Willis, Leijer, Zdrilic, North , Thompson, they're all wingers more so than central midfielders. Thus why usually only 2, occasionally 3 get spots.

I had to cover as I knew in this particular game that 4 of the 5 mids we were using were either central or defensive mids and I had to have subs which backed up them if any of them got injured as I knew Italy would have more territory as they are extremely tough to outplay.

Other games where I have a different structure of play, you'll see other wingers being selected, we just really needed as many mids with defending for today's task, and in the most cases it still wasn't enough.

More than reasonable. Just wondering what he's up to nowdays.

Seriously though, we have a fairly wide selection to choose from, which is great in one sense in that if one or two get injured or drop in form we have the ability to replace them and still perform well. The down side is some of them don't get as many games as they probably deserve.

Still Australia needs one or two classic central mids, as Veart isn't that good anymore.
