this guy looks very promising. Whats the current striker situation for Australia. Hes not one of mine quite obvioulsy and i didnt include the team or his name in case I shouldnt be posting this for some reason.

he's not there yet, but with the right training he might be. I indeed know who he is, been watching his progress for a while.

Anyways lineup is set for today's match against Venezuela, a few new faces, in fact quite a lot of inexperienced players at the NT level so it's going to be rather fun to watch. Hopefully we come out the stronger.

Also going to start a competition thing next week, so stay tuned ;).

I'll send you a skmail. Generally I don't really set pre requirements particularly for U21's because players can vary in skills and different skills may or may not work with what I intend to play for a particular week.

For example if I set the bar at say formidable, then someone with formidable def, solid pace, solid tech might qualify, but someone could be excellent def , outstanding pace , adequate tech.

That's usually why I don't set concrete requirements, and since we're rather small we have a lot of variance between our U21 players especially, so it's why I usually like receiving a sk mail with the player asking if they've got a chance and then I can let people know what I'd like to see improved etc whilst at the same time I'm at least aware of the player.

Must say it feels good to break the drought of not scoring :D. Still some things weren't too great which I'll build upon for next week, particularly attacking throw ins.

Considering the user difference between us and Venezuela I'm pretty satisfied with our performance. The defenders looked shaky early on but once the opposition strikers started tiring our defenders seemed to take control.

Willis was probably the key to our victory today though as a number of times he was able to break the line and create some chance for our strikers.

Other decent performances by Healy, and Henderson, but really the whole team contributed to the win and keeping them goal less. That striker of theirs looks scary given the marks he received and the ease in which he got past us early.

Why not have a points system for requirements then? Each stat gives a different amount of points and you need a certain level to qualify.

might be worth a shot. Might actually obtain more players that way also. Will work on that over the next few days to see if I can come up with something which doesn't prevent people sending me skills of younger players who have the potential to make the cut.
