You stay away from us!

Just a reminder for managers in division 2 and below that this week's match is against Malaysia and we will be playing a side made up of players from div 2 and below who have played less than 10 caps for the national side. Those who think they might have a player worthy of a spot for this game, send a sk-mail with the updated skills. Looking forward to the possible team lineup for this week's game.

Wilkinson? I think you have up to date stats for him.

Croxall fits the criteria and would be hard to beat. Wells if you're desperate for mid.

Doesn't overly stress me if you exclude ex-A-League teams from it as well though.
2007-09-05 18:49:59
Yeah I believe so.
2007-09-05 18:51:36
Nah I'm not going to exclude ex-A-league teams as there are quite a few floating around in div 2, so yeah Croxall has got to be hard to knock out from missing this match.

just wanna ask, is malaysia going to play players from div II and under otherwise i might make some changes to my prediction for the competition :)
2007-09-06 10:39:07
no they're playing a competition game based side.

I have got the list of players who are playing in this Competition match :)

Oh wait i wonder why... im the Malsysian NT coach :P

Emil Evans

He's for sale, currently going for nearly 6 million... I think by cometer's standards, he needs lots more passing ;)
2007-09-07 07:19:37
indeed, although he's improved a fair bit as well. Ideally passing should equal playmaking for a midfielder.

feeling pretty good about the likely lineup for tomorrow's game. Virtually all set, might be a few late changes if I get some late sk-mails with interesting players, but I'll post the lineup tomorrow closer to the match to keep the suspense up as to whether your players are playing :p (although most would have a pretty clean idea if they had a player playing or not from past nt caps).

I'm confident it will work and we will break through for the win. Hope everyone enjoys it.

Also before I forget next week we play Bulgaria in an U20 (yes it is typed correctly) match, so anybody with U20 players should get in contact with me via skmail if they feel they're in with a chance, and realistically pretty much anything is in with a shot.

Some might think this doesn't have much relevance, but there are reasons for having this kind of a match. I won't go into too much depth here other than state there was a specific reason for accepting an U20 match and that if you really want a deeper analysis skmail myself and I'll explain further.

Bulgaria have a 21yo who we're s*** scared of? :p

Good luck in the game, not too far away now.

haha I haven't actually scouted their U21 side, it has more to do with our own national team.

Anyway a good result today 4 - 0. Rayner can dribble the keeper and score long range pearlers but when it comes to 1 foot tap ins he can only find the post :s. Some strong performances by virtually everyone that played a part. Pretty much dominated them as expected but failed to put away some rather gimmie chances. Perhaps I should have used the post question this week rather than last week :s. Nikas gets credited with a goal whilst Croxall bags a few more for his tally.

Only slight disappointment in Mitchell as he missed a few chances he normally would have taken.

Still a win is a win and we walk away with some nice ranking points boost.

Onto Bulgaria next week. Start sending in your U20 players soon, preferably before Thursday night but at the latest Friday night.

Croxall looked a bit too creative for my likings. Anyone would think his manager had him playing as a MID all season...

2 goals and an assist from 11 attempts not the greatest return, but he certainly caused some problems and won't be accused of being selfish by his team mates.

Nice little cameo for Wells also, though I thought Healy looked a bit more dangerous.
2007-09-08 11:56:32
yeah but since I wanted to try and give as many of the 16 a run I threw in Wells for the last 20 minutes. Rayner's miss was probably the most sickening though although Croxall missed a few too.
