Its ok gibbage, cunico is following in howarths footsteps...well atleast if I train him in the same manner. I may just turn him into a specialised DM innstead

Well tactic is set for Makedonija. Hope everyone enjoys the game. Never really know what to expect when it's a competition side that we're putting out but hopefully we come away the stronger.

Also appears that the draw for the world cup qualifying has taken place. We're a 4th seed which isn't particularly nice as some new countries just jumped straight over us into 3rd seeds, 0.26 more ranking points and we would have been a 3rd seed. Not to be, so it makes things harder, but still not impossible.

Whoever is the NT manager should be able to do alright.

The others in our group are

Argentina
Mexico
Colombia
Bulgaria
Dominican Republic

lol, it's hard not to throw something right at this minute. Couldn't have picked any worse players to take out of the game then the two they did. Tactic was always going to fail with both key midfielders taken out. Red card in the first minute to Hewitt, and then not too much longer Wells got injured, although initially it was a slight injury but even so. Stuffed up the substitution orders as a result and we kind of got dominated from there on.

Then they scored two goals from tackling Warren, and a 3rd from well outside the box.

Feel slightly annoyed, had expected better.

Apologies for the game.

oooohhh.... i bet tigermaster and naph wont be very happy....
2007-10-20 09:30:13
mate it aint your fault

To get a red card in the 1st minute made it hard, and then to have wells injured...TWICE made it even worse.

And their goals were ridiculous, they just snapped everything straight in, one from 2/5 of the way up the pitch and a couple that were jsut flukey.

even a couple of long range chances were headed straight at the goal and masi just got a finger tip to them, or rebounded off spencer.

You have nothing to apologise for there, you were hard odne by

you know what, i think we may be able to get through to the next stage int he world cup

last ime we played argentina, we lost 3-1 and the time b4 a 0-0 draw

Mexico last time we only lost 2-0

Colombia I didnt look for but I believe we could take them

Bulgaria shouldnt be too bad

And dominican republic shoul be pretty easy

Edit: someone got picky over my spelling haha

A lot comes down to the matches against Colombia and Mexico. I believe we can finish 3rd, but whether we can finish 2nd is the thing I'm not too confident in, because only top 2 teams automatically go through along with the next 6 highest 3rd placed teams which our group won't be, so I'm expecting only 2 teams to qualify from this group.

Still we always have a chance and if we play our cards right we could quite possibly upset a few teams.

Argentina

eliminated in the last World Cup by Polska, Argentina still is one of the best Sokker National Teams.

The great match against the Deutschland is not important, because Deutschland was too tactically simple and the choice of the players, by this deutsch coach, was often bad. Argentina is the stronger team of this group, and I find hard for the other teams to defeat their defense.

Mexico

not bad in defense, poor of moves in the mid, good strikers. by the way, a decent team. they lack of courage, but their defense allow them a good counterattack.

Colombia

a team like much others. they often lose their matches, playin' an expectable soccer. the famous match lose with the Scotland speaks for me. On the other hand, their players are good and young, we have to see how the next coach will play.

Bulgaria
ranking: 58

one of the smarter NT of sokker. their game often take them to lose, but is never boring. it's a team attackable on the wings, but is necessary take the midfield possession.

phoenyx is a great little-NT-coach. his work gives great satisfaction to all the 13 dominican users :) they shoulda stay at 0 points, but with honour.

Considering Argentina qualified yet, we have to play against mexico, bulgaria and colombia. Mexico is a bite better then the other 2 and us, but everyone will play according their tactic ideas... these 4 teams are not too different by the skills...

I guess I should consider myself lucky that he is only out for 19 days given that he was already limping around when they cut him down a second time.
2007-10-20 13:56:39
Yep, he was obviously too good for them so they pulled a spanner on him.

One Word.

Bravo.

Damned useless australian striker!!

35 shots and only 10 goals!! Bodger outshone him by far.

We're all set for taking on New Zealand. Might be a few minor tweaks here and there as the game gets closer, but it's ready to take to the field. Won't mention very much as I would know there will be spies checking for any clues I might give.

To put it short, we won't be going in full strength as we have an important clash against Colombia next week, and also NZ are resting a large number of players. That gives some others the opportunity to show what they are capable of once again.

There will be more discussion after the match I'm sure, regardless of which way the result goes. Seca's been downplaying their squad all week but from the looks of things I don't really think their B team is all that weak, but it is weaker than their first team.

I'd like to thank everyone for the opportunity you gave me over the past 2 seasons in managing this national team. I've enjoyed the challenge as well as experiencing some highs and lows.

The aim is to finish this campaign off on a high to build the platform for the upcoming campaign which is going to require a lot of effort and luck to be successful, as a result of some unfortunate choices in where new countries start in ranking points.

Always enjoyable to play New Zealand and I'm looking forward to the game.

Good idea to keep it on the downlow. damn Nz/canadian spies.

Will be good to see whatever you have planned, unfortunately I will be at work, so if anyone tells me the score b4 i watch it in normal time when I get home, im going to have to kills someone.

Am I mistaken in this being Secas last match with the NZ NT squad? If so, he will definitely wanting to go out with a bang
2007-10-27 08:11:03
You are correct.

Instead of being beaten by Seca's NZ team, Australia will now have to be beaten by Seca's Canadian team =]
