Since I had some time I worked out the current qualifying situation with each pot. We're outside atm, but if we win both our remaining games we qualify as a 2nd spot finish. Could be interesting for a 3rd place finish, although if we were to lose a game we'd likely miss out again. Haven't included games still to play yet so that's another consideration.

Yes, nice for our strikers to finally find some goal-scoring form. Lets hope that's the flood-gates open now. :)

A break next week with an U19 game against South Africa, then the final two qualifiers. If nothing else, it will be an exciting run home.

Another solid result. Looks promising for the future of the U21 side with a lot of these players. Let's hope they continue to develop into quality players.

and dare i say that that tactic you used there seems vaguely familiar.... ;)

heaps of U19 players making their debuts as well, and i must say a pretty good debut at that!

It's a tactic I used in III before moving onto better ones :p
Mottram seriously need some attention if we want a good sub for Souris though... you've got a good bunch of players for sure!

already done my U21 players :). I added O'Donoghue to the NTDB as well as I assume you'll be interested in tracking his progress for future seasons regardless of what I end up deciding to do.

Well we did what we had to do and that was get the 3 points. Deserved to have scored more but what can you do, a win is still a win :).

One to go for qualification :)
Should we gain qualification, we'd have achieved qualification to the 1st Senior World Cup and also the 1st (official) U21 World Cup.

Hopefully Honduras do us a bit of a favour later by defeating Ukraine or else getting a draw with them, making Ukraine have to beat us to qualify, instead of us having to beat them.
