Ouch that's a big fall. Win a few games in a row and you'll be back at around 150k I'd expect, depending on your league.

Yeah well hopefully I can get some good attendance at home games otherwise I'm gonna suffer badly.

cut your squad back from 29 to 20-22. They should sell for some cash whilst reducing your wages by around 10k-20k.

I'd probably look at cutting your junior school places a bit if you've got over 20, cut back to around 10-15. However if you've got more than that already in the school, you're going to lose players randomly unless you sack the least talented ones. That should save you another 1.6k per place per week.

No need to panic yet, you should still be making enough from home games to cover the losses. Assuming you get 250k gate receipts from a home game if you can knock your weekly losses to 130k rather than 177k you'll maintain balance across the season and minimize losses.

That's a possible suggestion, it doesn't necessarily have to be like that. Coaches are another way to reduce losses although that then affects training quality.

250k from gate receipts in div 3? ha ha ha. This is the cherry on the top for replacing teams in div 3. A league full of teams with 300 fans.

gate attendances depend on fan base and weather along with supporter mood. There is a small effect on the oppositions fan base too but it's largely you're own. Also includes stadium arrangement (such as seats,benches,terraces).

Put me into div 3 now and I'd get 250k gate receipts easily I reckon.

Even so it depends on how many fans Aussie Striker has and how big the stadium is, along with the other factors. Might have been a high estimate but it's still the same concept, just means you've got to cut your expenses back a bit more, so that you're level terms across the season.

For example Aussie Striker got 17564 to his quali game against a div 3 side and that's with probably one of the lower levels of supporter mood as he got 28355 in his 1st home match last season when his fans would have been up near the top. Sure weather conditions were slightly differerent.

Went from low 220s up to 267ish so can't complain.
Fan mood up after quali, which no doubt helped.

I reckon you've gone up due to fan mood and also because Colt's replacing H.I. increases your league prestige ;).

The team played a match. Income from tickets was 252 640 AU$. 2008-12-28 08:52:23 from my game vs 49ers...

Anyway the good news is my sponsorship went up from 161k to 281k... I love it!

Nice, even higher than I anticipated ;). Should be able to catch up to II standards in no time with that kind of payment :p.

Sponsorship was 296k before first league game....298k after a win, so I'm still down on last season around this stage.

Fan mood went from furious to believing in club, just before today's sponsor money.

True I think I was on 2nd bottom supporter mood.
I think I should be ok after a few weeks with increasing supporter confidence. I have a million dollar buffer to work with so will see how the first couple of weeks pan out then make changes if necessary. Cup matches may also help if I can get through a few rounds.

Yeah, so you've got less sponsorship then start of last season due to lower supporter mood and also fewer ranking points. Still follows what I'm thinking sponsorship is determined by. Getting more and more convinced I'm heading down the right path, can't be certain though.

Is ranking purely calculated on league finish (comparitive to equiv leagues)? Or is it based on your players (i.e. squad)...which I hope it isn't as reserves/youths could give false readings on how you are actually performing.

Ranking is based primarily on your results. If you beat a team with a higher ranking than you, you get more ranking points. You lose more points if you lose to a team below you in the rankings. And friendlies are counted.
