not sure what to do with first guy. second guy is definitely too old and untalented for me to keep, is getting sold. might keep the first guy around for a season of pace and tech, he's pretty young and talented

wow very nice player, shame about the talent, but could still be trained to become a very good player
2008-09-18 11:15:27
cool. what're you gonna make him?
2008-09-18 11:17:44
I will convert him to cash ;)

I train strikers, he will not reach his potential with me. His talent is average, but it won't make him a star. He is the equal 11th best 17 year old defender in the world, so that should be a nice selling point.

Ballpark figure?
2008-09-18 14:09:06
3-4 mill
2008-09-18 14:19:42
And likely resale value, maybe $15mil after 5 seasons ?
2008-09-18 14:21:51
6-7mill probably, potentially up to 10 mill depending on how far he gets.

Not worth buying if that's the case.
I would've thought a higher potential resale, but I haven't sold off defenders for a while.

For example check Haereiti, he's going for 8mill atm with around 5-6 hours to go, and he's one of our 1st team squad members, so defenders don't actually sell for a truckload like midfielders and strikers do. I wouldn't think that player would get that high within 5 seasons but I could be wrong, stranger things have happened before ;).

Ugghhh I asked neo what price if he sold him now and he turned me down and said he wasn't selling for 7-8 weeks... Now he's listed at a horrible time. I'll see what I can do anyway.

You need the right publicity campaign to get the right prices...

In the last few minutes, there is always a bid war.
2008-09-18 15:06:54
I only just noticed when I did a search for 23 yo's to take a look at what agbell could expect for the player to be worth, I knew he was going to be sold but didn't know when exactly, must have had a decent offer to get him to list now, thought the plan was to get him to divine defender (hence the 7-8 weeks).
2008-09-18 15:09:53
I'll probably throw down a slightly too high bid. I was planning on getting him and giving him a season of mid training (maybe a +1PM, +1 Tech, +2 passing?) probably just let him get to divine through general training, but I might throw in a week or two of def training for my mids as well.
