Asunto: Champions League 2010-2011

and third: it is ridiculous and shameful how real played yesterday - the most expensive team in the world got about 25% of ball posession in own stadium and in front of own fans

In the Spanish Cup final the percentage was about the same and who won.

Going on with this diving and cheating subject. One reason why Barca looked like team of cheating scums is possession percentage. The less you (Real) have the ball, the less you dive:)

On the Belgian forum I said it was a disgrace what those players did so you shouldn't generalise..

I haven't said that all Barca fans are like that. I know a couple that understand football and see what really happens. I can see that you're not a blind one - and that's great :)

It seems you are frustrated that real did lost because they didn't have the balls to attack and you are therefore attacking barça supporters.

I don't really care for Real, to be fair my favourite game ever was when Juve destroyed Real in CL 3:1 [Treze, Alex, Nedved - Zidane] and I trulyhated the Galacticos, though I must say that I always respected some of their players :)

It aren't the supporters who were diving.

True, but some 'fans' tend not to see 'their' players diving, only opponents. They talk as if Barca was a club made by saints, and that includes Guardiola and all this 'Barca DNA' bullshit :)

@Don Enzo
The trith is that the team that played consistently better the 3 matches so far

....?
1st game, league: Barca was better, but since they've scored Real took the lead and deserved to grab a draw from the game.

2nd game, cup: 1st half for Real, 2nd for Barca, equal game with more luck on Real's side.

3rd game, CL: both team decided to defend and nothing was happening on the field, a draw would be fair. the red made the game go into shambles...

but media comments around the world

I've seen a lot of international dailies [English, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish] saying that the red card was too much/the decision was controversial/it was a yellow at most].

The point is not the decision being undoubtedly right, it's just the decison not being obviously wrong. Then, reffs ahve to decide in a sec, sometimes it goes your away, sometimes it goes agaisnt you, but that's not a robbery. Tévez offside against Mexico is a scandal. This red card, fair or not, it's just a nomral match event.

About playing better: I'm not saying they played every minute, I'm saying they played better more minutes :P That's why "consistently" and not "constantly" ;)

Hells, haven't you forgot the 2 yellow cards that could be given to Messi?

1st Jumping into Di Maria(?) after Barca kicked the ball away after a corner => no ball, not even the intention to get the ball => according to the rules at least yellow right? Because no intention to get the ball..

lying on the ground at the penalty-area (Madrid) taking the ball in his hand => intentionaly making a handball.. yellow right? => should have resulted in a red card, but yeah it's Messi..he's like his big example Maradonna a big cheater..

O but yeah Messi is can't be penalised, right?

And if you think that the challenge of Pepe was red, why do you "forget" the tackle from Piqué on Ronaldo? From the side, no ball, only foot.. even more dangerous, cause Ronaldo's foot was on the ground, could easily broken his ankle.. but yeah he's from Barca, right..

Referees are people and team intension will influence decisions. Barca came to play football and Real as usual with Mourinho came to stop Barca and try to score a counter goal. This tactics leave an impression on a ref, there were a massive amount of fouls so that Real gets booked more easily is logical.
2011-04-29 11:15:47
That doesn't change the fact that Hells only points out the -in his opinion- red card(s) for Madrid..
2011-04-29 11:20:20
Barca wasn't playing football in last game. They were defensive as well, Puyol and Alves rarely went higher than their own half. In the centre of field you had Keita and Busquets playing very defensively, only Xavi playad as usually. They wanted the 0:0 as well, most of the time passing the ball between the defenders. Please tell me what special and nice did Barca do before the red card? NOTHING more than Real.

You can clearly see that around 430 passes out of 593 passes were made between ONLY defensive players - Busquets, Keita, Alves, Puyol, MAscherano, Pique, Valdes. Valdes himself was passed to 27 times! It says all about this 'beautiful, attacking Barca' in this game.

And don't give me bullshit about Real making more fouls. Check the statistics. Barca made 25 fouls, Real made 21 fouls - info from Totalbarca so it's rather objective, right?

In other words - first check stats, then stop being blind, then start talking.

Then you didnt understand my point, if a team plays around and has the ball and the other team is defending mostly. Who do you think gets booked earlier, the one passing around or the one holding the line. So inevitabily Real gets cards sooner.
2011-04-29 12:49:20
Not really, even though Barca had the ball for most of the time they weren't charging with it - they were passing it to each other in the defensive line. Most cards are for offensive charges of wingers, strikers or counter attacks.

So inevitabily Real gets cards sooner.

So why the hell does Barca have more cards?
2011-04-29 15:18:36
Referee was in favour of Real Madrid?

;-)

you can prove everything with stats... idiotic discussion

+1, talking about refree about mourinho´s conspiracy is funny, mourinho is a clown
2011-05-01 22:31:45

2011-05-01 22:43:37
LOL, the video with Pepe NOT hitting the leg of alves, they actually cut 2 frames from the video. How about being a role model, Real. tsss
