Asunto: »7170 managers in Sokker!
Greg dont say nothing about good news?
Finally 1 thing has been fixed, the tactic bug. But staff made a long list of all known bugs and mods + admins categorized it from low to urgent and send this to greg, so greg knows what needs to be fixed and what needs to be fixed first. But for now only 1 thing has been done ...

yeah it's nice to see at least the tactics bug fixed. That being said, if greg is so uninterested in upkeep and this game, why not sell? There's enough of a base community here that I'm sure he could do okay and with a little revitalization this game could make somewhat of a comeback for sure!
This game has been polished so many times, I don't think someone else wants to work with Sokker and try to make it really a 2016 game. I think it's less work to make it all new and up-to-date with new techniques when you don't know where to find all info in the Sokker programming of someone else.

The problem is that a 2016 game wouldn't be the real sokker we know and we like, it will be a different game
I don't think it needs to be a 2016 game. I would probably hate that actually. What it does need is someone who fixes bugs/continues to improve the ME/advertises a bit/does more for new players.
Truly having a mentor program built into this game would be very helpful, then again having people not need to wait 3 days or w/e for a team would also probably help.

Not necessarily a complete 2016 look, but 2016 programming. Sokker is old, maybe too old.
And managers don't need to wait for a team, they have to wait for full access. Also a downside, but new managers can do enough during that limited access. But they don't as almost no one logs in again after 1 quick look in Sokker. So the problem happens somewhere between login and first visit. Not user-friendly, poor looks, things like that.

Our community is very small so can usually people (new users) try to play sokker on suggestion of a friend which is playing already sokker.
People indeed stop to play cos different things but one of them is interface, or better to say, they cant find close connection to their club from beginning.
U have faceless players no emblem, no newspapers. Its as you try a car without paint and sitting on bench instead of a comfortable seat.
In general im plus user(only cos i want to make some contribution to people which keep this game running) , which can come only from plus users, and if you increase the game you want to increase the plus part as increment means more equipment and people to keep the game running.
Think this is not the theme for ideas so i will stop spam, but its possible to implement changes without changing the game programing.

The point that I tried to make is buying a game made by someone else, which has been polished over and over again, is not worth the time and money, even IF greg would sell Sokker (will not happen). Ofcourse new things can be implemented in the current programming of Sokker, but to buy this game (or some other old game) and to make it a lot better as it is, is not going to be easy or even impossible.
Staff can see parts of how Sokker is constructed because of the php files that needs to be translated, and without knowing the basics of modern programming, even I can see it will be a lot of work to keep Sokker up-to-date by polishing. So that's why I say someone can better spend time making Sokker 2, in every way that will be less work, also for future implementations and changes (no more Flash, new graphics for certain pages, logical placements of options, complete structure like correct shared files on different pages, etc)

We can write about till tomorrow but such way its impossible to move far...as noone cant contact devs and make a chat with them(sometimes one have feeling that the game is made by god)...here the main thing is low communication and too long time of implementing something...
There are things which can be changed or some things which can be introduced inside the game without big changes in programing or interface...but speaking about on this level on forum is just lost of time...

Unfortunately it's also pointless on staff forum as DEVs also not communicate on those forums :/
yeap...you dont have real power to make something...
maybe its time to call them OWNERS(s) because they develop s**t atm.
Mm, perhaps Greg has simply stopped developing and investing into this little project of his. I wonder, what he does as a everyday work, because this is just a hobby and a chance to add sth interesting to his CV.
