Why Greg?.... why?

bugs ideas, he suggested that he will consider making form more random - so players will be less time in tragic etc.. but then as a result you wont have continually high form players either :/
cant see it being implemented any time soon though

momo18 para Eridon
I have a player that, from his born, at 18yrs, has never seen the sun (a good form). Now he is 23 years old and is keeping his bad form from 6 seasons. Is it an (atrocious) record?

P.S. Last season I tried to write to Greg, without any reply, of course ;-)

For me changing positions always worked, I had forwards that didnt want the number 11 so changed him to 10 or 9, also, had keepers that didnt want to be keepers, I was training pace so I put him as winger 1 game and form went up 4 levels, just for 1 game.

Of course it is true that if they are not happy with the team they keep losing form, so I just sell those players.

Another thing I found is that for some reason after going up 1 level in any ability, some start to lose form, like if they say "Im quicker now, move me to the wing" or something...

Im sure it is not random, also it occurs to me that they are not happy when they dont play much, for example I remember I played a stronger team and I could shot even once in the whole game, and my forwards went down in form.

I don't know much about the moving positions thing. but I guess randomness still prevails when it comes to form. I have a player who played center-back in different setups for 8 seasons now and was in the high third for the first four seasons then fell abruptly and has not recovered ever since.
for me it's clear randomness coupled with a clustering effect around the extremes, but that's hardly news.

who was saying that form is random?:)
Bought him with weak form 3 weeks ago, now magical, and I bet on Thursday he'll be divine :)

also, my aussie striker, Byers, I bought him with tragic form, now he's solid, and keeps rising...

i think like you, well i think there is a little random mixed with a hidden formula that no ones knows, but i bet in this formula one of the variables is "putting the player in the right place of the field"
2009-10-05 14:58:32
And how would that affect keepers that must clearly be played in goal?
2009-10-06 13:14:02
maybe they are affected by this random factor, fact is that a big % of keepers have high form, even some have a low form.

Anyway these are my guesses after looking form on my team, i cant be sure of that but i think position affects form ...plus random factor..and other factor unknown maybe too
2009-10-06 13:37:42
It's these unknown factors that make any apparent known factors hard to quantify.
2009-10-06 13:40:02
yeah that for sure, anyway in my experience, position in field may influence, as far as you say there are other factors so is hard to quantify..but i think one of the variables is this one, even there are anothers

eh, who says keepers have high form?
look at my lovely mister rubbish

haha well thats bad luck, i said big percentage of kkepers have high form, but not all of them :P
2009-10-06 15:32:52
But you guys agree with me that playing regularly is an important factor?
2009-10-06 16:40:29
No :p

I have players who go in a 30 day injury with brilliant form and come out with divine form.
