Asunto: oSokker

Somehow i do not have the problem:

all is Ok with locale version and english language, but, I cannot access to the setting in french language nothing occurs. Firefox 9.0.1

But after switch in French it is OK , I have NT flag, scissor, and so and so

Earlier I updated my version of osokker to the last one modified by you and I had that problem. Now I uninstalled osokker completely and reinstall it and it works perfectly.

Ok, all that i knew about is fixed. So reinstall. And tell me whats not working :-).

I removed and installed oSokker again and still the same. I made some printscreens to show you the stange differences:

Example 1 (+1 in 6 weeks but talent 14.00 in oSokker)

Example 2 (0 in 6 weeks but talent 28.00 in oSokker)
Example 3 (0 in 5 weeks but talent 35.00 in oSokker)

And the strange thing is, this player has about the same situation as example 2 and 3, but his talent is completely different in oSokker:
Example 4 (0 in 6 weeks but talent 0.00 in oSokker)

I think all of these should have talent 'unknown' in it as non has enough weeks to make a good prediction and not enough pops to make some prediction at all :)

Oh, and another thing in translation :) I think this is in oSokker.

In 'Office' the word 'Friendly' is translated in 'Vriendschappelijke wedstrijden' and that is ok, but this doesn't fit at all :P Using the word 'Friendly' is also ok as we also use that in Dutch translation in places the other text doesn't fit because of the length.

Well, thats not a bug. Thats just simple linear regression.

Example 2, 3 and 4 are about the same but oSokker predicts the talent of all 3 (completely) different, without even the possibility to make any predictions at all because of the number of weeks.

I don't use that prediction of oSokker because of this, but other who do use it, and mainly for new managers, this must be very confusing. Talent 'unknown' or 'unknown yet' would make it much more clear in the first few weeks I think :)

It would be better if mozilla admins would approve my addon....

They arent the same. linear regression works with chain of numbers. And the chain is different in these 3 cases.

I cant determine when the talent is know and when not....

well the tricks used in the plus formula are a few 'if'-functions (which i don't use in excell):
-if the outcome is negative it mentions 0 instead
-if no result can be calculated it mentions 4,5 instead

from my impression staring at youth talent on a weekly basis: if you want reliable results then simply don't use linear regression under 15 weeks and in a strict sense i would not use it at all because the estimations are way too random.
i've a guy where the calculation just can't be right even after 29 weeks. :p
