Asunto: NEWS Ideas & Suggestions Poll
I don't use facebook, and I am NOT to use facebook. So, that polls are of NO USE for me.
Why do not you center these polls in SOKKER, which is where us all the possible interested users are, instead in an external 'thing' which we SOKKER users do not have to belong to?
Enough that DEVs do not give us option to remove that annoying facebook screen. But to make MANDATORY for the users to join that 'thing' in order to improve SOKKER is carrying thing too far.
Is there really a will of enhancing SOKKER? Or you are just making another deceiving self-promotion, pointing only to get more new users at any cost?

would be nice to see this voting pool ingame, after all we came to play sokker here and then the facebook came, not the other way around...
and +1 to ady's post although i didnt read you all yet.
after that worse case scenario could be playing styles but first we should know what that really means... comparing to training changes its not even an issue.

Please, why is it so hard to implement these things:
1) choose corner/throw in takers
2) place your players in positions you like when taking corners/free kicks
It is really frustrating when you have to adjust your whole tactic for this!

A friend of mine, FEMALE friend of mine, who doesn't have a club over here, voted for training change.
These poll results are relevant, aren't they?

i think we have problem with funclub I Will when we play friendly match funclubb mood dont change!
I see these new 'proposals', and I must feel sad. I see that most of them are a few ideas proposed in the forum of bug/ideas quite recently. Unfortunately, I see too that there are a lot, perhaps more interesting and deserving of atetion, which have been ignored.
I don't know is these which are listed have been made by some friends of the staff resposibles of this 'advertisement campaign', but I must feel sorry if it is the case, as it seems that only some of the last, and most dubious proposals have been collected. It also seems as if these proposal and polls had been intended mostly for possible new users, and not to attend enhancements requested by the veteran users, who are precissely those who know what things could be more deserving of attention.
About these proposals, here is as I view them (always imho, of course):
- Make Sokker into Android and ios client
Intersting idea. Although not everybody use these mobile gadgets, it could be useful to make SOkker more accessable.
On the other hand, it couls not be 100% positive. Allowing extended conection times could be useful for bidders, but at the same time would give them
advantages over those who depend on some more 'static' means of conection. That is: it would give an advantage to those wealthy vs those who have more modest economical resources in RL.
So, making it or not could turns ito a tricky question (morale, at least). Mayeb makeing accesable everything, except the bids...(?)
- Change website graphics design, especially home page
Not necessary. The original interface (the green classic) continues working perfectly, and it is the most efficient one. Anybody can use also a customized css.
The point behing sucha a change would be then for the benefit of the owners of the game, not the users, as a (another) try to 'catch' more users by their
eyes. But the main point remains being that SOkker is not the interface, but the game, which is what any new user will see, and the latter is what an user
judge to decide if it stays and if SOkker deserves his time.
So, fixing other things more (really) useful should be perhaps prioritary ovea any 'graphics design' change.
- Change faces to be more realistic and visible in 3D viewer
Faces are absurd, be it as they are. or with any 'realistic' change. Any effort and time spent here will be pointless except perhaps for a minority of users
who like cartoonish and random faces. Many users couls have some idea of feeling over his players, and could imagine them with some apperarance. Assigning them a nonsensical, random face can indeed be felt as omething insulting.
That is, discover that SOkker has decided giving our best junior player, who has basque surname, the face of a Chinese or an Indian is absurd and ruins completely any REALISTIC feeling over them. The same if our Japanese player, with his Japanese surname, results to appear like a dark Angolese, or blonde
Skandinavian punk.
The only acceptable anternative, which will indeed be quite interestin, would be to attach a customization system in which each user could design the faces of their players. That would be the perfect (and only) thing which would assure the highest ratio between realism/acceptation by users. If the face designer
were too complicated to be included (o problematic for the connectivity whith the sokker web), it could be made as an independent tool, which allowed to generate the faces and returned some numerical values for the parameters of colors (face, skin, eyes) and types (hair stlile, beard, moustache. eyebrows,
eyes, nose, face chape, etc), which could be input into the player's profile (in Sokker), so it could generate always the player face with them.
But, if not, please leave the current random faces as they are, and spend time and effort in any useful thing.
- Change Training to be more realistic, add team training camps
Why? Actual training is a definitely particularity of SOkker, and many people consider it as one of the best carried things of the game.
Why to change things which working ok? Is not this proposal a sign about SOkker staff having lost completely the North, and that they are going to emulate any other game in blind tries to use anything to lure peolple here?
The current training system is quite interesting. Position limitation is a leveling system as it could be any other to maintain things into a simulation of realism, and it is in fact one of the distictive features of Sokker. In RL, teams are not launchers for infinite advancement of an infinite number of
players. If fact, in RL NO top level team 'trains' players at all, but put already formed players to play, and they in any case get practice and experience.
The current SOkker system training is already more-than-generous regarding the results, and anybody can see it looking at the numbers of crack players already existing.
Making 'training more realistic' without caring to explain what means are going to be used to get this 'more realism' is a void statement, and dangerous, in
the sense that any result could be expected, including (and probably) a situation in which the results of 'training' cuold become more unrealistic indeed, or simply give more advantages to the richest teams, who could dedicate more in more money to the new 'trainings'.
The current system allows any team with a bit of experience to try to maximize its trainings, and a hope to reach some day the level (and benefits) of stronger teams. Although a richer team can allow to get a main coach with top secondaries, any team with a estalished economy can allow at least on with one
unearthy level in the main skill, and the posiions limit (and somewhat balance) the results. If this levelling is broken by some kind of 'new training', the most probable result is that, before a situation in wich the strongest and richest teams get more advantages yet, the newer temas, as soon as they can be
aware of the situation, give up hope and leave Sokker. As some users have already stated this in Spain's forum (some time before these news have been now announced), this could be perhaps one of the direct consequences of nonsensically 'touching' the training system (in fact, I think I myself could be one of these users leaving Sokker).
- More payment options
Paypal is currently the 'de facto' universal web payment means, so anybody can acces it, and it is possible too to use pre-paid cards, for those users underage.
So, I guess the proposal is reall related with some 'idea' from the bugs/ideas forum posted quite recently, in the sense of allowing to pay for limited functionalities (i.e., being able to see others' matches only) of the current plus, alone or in 'packages', and/or maybe some new ones.
Not bad a priori, but it is in the last term a measure to get profit. In order to get more funds to support Sokker could be fine, but let's hope this could not serve to unbalance and/or intruduce unfair advantages for those who but these 'features'.
- Improved interactive ingame tutorial
Good idea, which should be have been made a lot of time ago (why now, I wonder?). It should not be so complicated as an interactive, all button pop-up generator, but a single doument, or html web section, could be done explaining each screen and all options in it.
A simple help button ('?') in the main menu could open a view of such information. An,d, in any case, the staff (or the community) could always compose a complete documentation (Word file, PDF) wich each country could translate to its language, which could be contrasted, expanded and updated, and could be put available as a download, so everybody could get it.
- Introduce Team/Individual Playing Styles (e.g. long/short pass styles etc.)
A lot could be done here. In fact, a comprehensive studio of ideas, possibilities and preferences could be more useful (and less dissapointing and annoying) that some 'touches' to the ME, made unilaterally and with a more-than-dubiuos criteria, as it has been always done.
It would be perfect is something in this way could be done, so you could state if you want your GK to run towards the ball (so the DEFs reamin watching the skies while the opossing ATT scores)
or be in the line, prepared to block the shoot, while the DEFs are the ones who *DO* run toward the ATT to interfere. Also, if you could tell your high-Playmaking, high-Passing, butlow-Techinque ATT to shoot or pass, instead of running maintaining the ball as a dumbass until he losses it to the first rival he faces, it would be great.
The question is: seeing the current ME improvements, could we hope that these changes work? WOuldn`t it worse the results than leaving things as they are?
Will we see our GK not moving, not blocking, and the DEFs stay looking the sky as before, or our ATT passing and passing, back, to the rivals, or anywhere, or shooting without any criteria? WOuld DEVs test anything, and/or will they have the guts of staying bak, and not to release a developmente which does not work (or works worse!)? That is the problem: I have my doubts about if we will end having a result better that the actual one.
- More statistics for players and teams
Statistics are good, of course. But, with so many, and asking more and more, could we not end becoming a bit obsesive about them? Really, I prefer enhancements to the game, and bugs to be fixed, than more statistics which I in any case will lok from time to time, and mainly only as a curiosity...
- Market Assistant / Autobid system
BAD IDEA. And I write it in caps on purpose.
To allow autobids, apart from being another pass to make SOkker to resemble other games (like Goalunited, and maybe some others) would suppose a hard strike to the faces of the more modes teams, which due to their econimies try to get good players (for their levels) at affordable prices, and hope to be able to get a bargain from time to time. The autobids would have in the end anly a big 'winner': the DAYTRADERS.
The possibility of planning the catch of 'investments' at any hour, without caring about sleeping time, could allow to maximize/exploit at maximum their 'messing' of the market, while those more modest and those users in countries with other hour zones (those who can use this small help to counter the monopoly of the richer European -mainly, Polish, with their economical money bonuses for number of Leagues- teams) will see now how they are deprived of competing for their national players (and not only the top ones).
Obviously, and for *justice*, such (auto)bids *should* block the amount bidded, as in a normal bid, to allow a team to autobid for hundreds of players at the same time. But yet so, the possibility of making 'repartitions' of the hour zones by organized daytraders could be very real, and the problem would be the same.
And, of course, I wonder: what interest will gain a new user in remaining in Sokker, when he sees that all his attempts to get a good player are voided once and again by the robot on some richer team autobidding? ...
- Reduce bottom divisions into one big league similar to the junior leagues
This proposal can not be serious. Really.
We are complaining about the horrors of junior leagues, asking (and proposing) solutions, and they want to turn regular leagues this way???
JUnior legues are working as shit:
- When they are an odd number of teams, one is left without match. They do not care if it is a team that with the poits of that match could promote or relegate: it is random, and completely unfair. The possibility of replicating a possible rival has been proposed, and no anwer.
- Promotions and relegatios are absurd. If a country as a top junior league with 5 teams, and none in the second, at the end of the season the 5th will be relegated, and will be left anone in the second, while 4 'no-teams' will promote. So 4 wil lstay in I, and one in II. THis is absurd, and similar cases can happen, as no logics of 'if there is place and none can promote, then the ones who have place do not relegate'.
- The pairing system is nonsensical. Instead of pairing, all weeks, 1st vs 2nd, 3rd vs 4th, and so on, so similar teams can play, and the table to take form by merits, random pairings make the same teams to play amongst themselves once and again the same season.
And there are many more glitches. So, with shich a messed and bad system (which they don't want to fix), are we going to intermix the regular leagues?
Whats justice, what fairness, is going to be to decide the teams which could promote? What hellis shit of hell are going to fall the teams which relegate from the lower regular league? Do anybody really thing that such a nonsense can be seen as something seroius, and that any serious new manager is going to remain much time in SOkker when he can be aware of what 'simulatin game' he has joined in?
---------------------------------------------
Seriously, I think there would be issues more deserving of atention. They are proposals which perhaps there have not been made for users friend of the staff, but that perhaps would make more sense to consider them before making proposals over other random 'new issues'. There would be many of them, but only to list a few:
- Fix uniforms (same style for the three kits, and maybe a third color, so seconday and shorts' are not the same).
- Stadiums 'effects' (new users seeing absurd bounces, alien to reality -independently of how a flat surface, and less an official footall pitch, is-).
- Stadiums Condition (bots and new users having bad pitches which causes bad play and injuries to visitor teams which have not any guilt at all)
- Junior leagues (as said above, they should be fixed to make them logical and fair for those who care about their junior teams)
- Bugs (many of them, already reported, and not fixed. How is it possible to think about new things, when failures in the current ones are not fixed??)
- Conditional orders (limited in numbers, and without possibility of involving more than 2 players... and the teams which are left without GK!)
- Penalties to daytrading (tricky issue) (to play more foofball and less monopoly, for instance limiting buys per season, and incressing taxes from third sale of the same player on)
- The Match Engine, the neverending issue (all those player slowing down, passing to the rival or back without sense, not shooting or making globe-shoots, failing penalties, etc. -those issues are alredy there, without fixing yet, and they are thinking of introducing such things like'new playing styles'?-)
- Buid a forum dedicated to present proposals, discuss them, retrieve feedback, and interact with (and respond to) the community. Each thread, which could be opened only officially by the staff (at difference from the bugs/ideas forum, to avoid spam and to keep order), could be for each opened idea/suggestion. But, of course, do it as a Sokker forum, and not as a fecebook external thing.
- etc...

Stats and better design would be great, but autobid system would ruin all the game for me. Market would crash, and there would be no use in being online a lot, just let the game autobid. Shitty idea.
