i'm not lying,i'm just sharing my experience, you think whatever the hell you want to think,i'm telling you my computer got infected the moment i downloaded sv.i use sv now,and i have no problems, but i had some a couple of months ago.
2009-03-31 13:44:17
boki, the problem here is that you do not understand what is happening in that magic box you call a computer.

Avast detected the SV executable as a possible trojan. Avast ALSO detected more problems with your system.

However, the SV executable isn't a trojan. Using the information that you have provided, about how you didn't have an antivirus installed until your friend installed it for you, it is very probable that you had not taken steps to protect your system, and because of that you acquired a lot of malware.

So what you are doing is like someone who slips on a slippery patch when a bird flies overhead, and blames it on the bird. There is no logic to the association.
2009-03-31 13:44:50
You can repeat it as often as you want, but you have to realise it doesnt make right what you claim.
2009-03-31 13:50:19
it must take a special sort of arrogance to think "I haven't had a problem so anyone who says they have is a liar" - because, as we all know, computers are all the same
2009-03-31 13:55:28
Takes more arrogance to put words into other peoples mouth. Apart from that you dont seem to understand the issue either.
2009-03-31 13:59:12
i mean,it happened to me,why do you categorically deny any possibility of it happening at all?
2009-03-31 14:04:06
You might belive that... but that doesnt make your belive right.

But its pointless to discuss this any further with you since this is running in circles.

So just believe what you wish. Though dont be surprised that you wont gain any credibility by repeating it over and over again.
2009-03-31 14:06:15
I don't pretend to understand - I have no problems with SV

But I don't feel the need to tell others their experiences are "untrue"
2009-03-31 14:06:54
whatever.
2009-03-31 15:09:57
Vancian, you obviously don't properly comprehend what SV is alleged to be. boki has stated that SV is a trojan, and that it caused all his computer's problems.

If you can point out where he's proven that, then he'll have more of a case.

You just think everyone is arrogant, when all we're doing is pointing out that he is blaming SV when he has no cause to.

It's not about 'I haven't had a problem', it's that SV isn't what he claims it to be.

So learn to read and understand properly, before you jump into a thread.
2009-03-31 15:14:18
you can also learn to read:i said that avast detected a virus when i clicked the "download" button.
so the virus couldn't have come from anywhere else.
2009-03-31 15:21:43
Now we get more information.

If Avast detected a virus when you clicked on 'download' for SV, then it would have stopped anything from happening with SV.

So it couldn't have been SV that caused the problems with your computer.

You need to get your facts straight instead of telling people to learn to read, when you just come up with a confused jumble of accusations and expect people to believe you.

And one last thing: a trojan isn't a virus. You still don't know what you're talking about.
2009-03-31 15:23:45

now you come up with a story that trojan isn't a virus.
(editado)
2009-03-31 15:29:14
Frankly, I'm starting to think you're just trolling. You fail to discuss facts, and instead just throw out baseless accusations.

Avast would have given you a log, and if you want you can submit it for analysis. Conveniently, you will not be able to produce this. Of course, you will also not be able to reinstall your version of SV and Avast in order to show us that your version of SV is a trojan, and that Avast detects it as such and that it has installed said trojan in the system32 folder, because of <insert excuse here>.

So until you've got something to back your story up, it's best you keep your fairy tales to yourself. I've already given you the benefit of the doubt, but you're still trolling.
2009-03-31 15:31:04
why do you think i'm lying?
2009-03-31 15:34:48
Because I posted reasons for your situation at 2009-03-31 13:44:17 and 2009-03-31 15:29:14, but you completely ignore it and just keep insisting that your original statement is correct.

Also, a trojan is not a virus. I've already told you that your lack of computing knowledge is causing you to make false assumptions, but you don't even try to learn more, and instead just cup your hands over your ears and go LA-LA-LA-LA-I-CAN'T-HEAR-YOU-LA-LA-LA.
