Lower is better. 3,0 is best.
You want to have talent lower than 4,0 for any longterm training.

SV due to being outdated as you say counts number of pops to calculate talent so e.g. 5 6 5 6 5 6 5 6 would be shown like 6 (weeks) / 4 (pops) = 1.5

SA shows projected player talent as 3.88 and detailed min/max 4.10/3.60. Will SA define talent more precisely over time? The player has been with me for 3 years now (18-21 ys old, not player from YS).

There's a way to know the talent faster: using general trainings to make a complete pop more precise, like this:



If the beginning and end of a complete pop IS a general training, the error margin IS reduced, and therefore the talent calculation IS more precise

But, if you train always the same skill, you Will need more time to narrow down the min and max talents
