Asunto: NEWS Sokker- big changes are coming!
Later on read: years. Until you make few seasons of trading.
they are planning to make it much more expensive. Read : much expensive and still poorly random.

Of course.
Their changes for academy are in short version:
if you spend same amount as now = you will get much worse youth school
if you spend a lot of money more than now = you will get same youth school as now
they even want investments to BE ABLE to have a magical coach, it's such a ridiculous concept

There has to be a balance between investments and income...
But making people pay for random results will only kill the game.
Lots of teams have been building their status for years.
For now to say management is too easy is not correct.
We all struggled for years. Now it goes better because we've invested alot in our team.
Maintenance costs I can relate to, but simply paying extra for the same is ridiculous.

no, now it's easier [and too easy] because you have bi-weekly 2x the amount of leagues games played at your stadium

that's their idea for youth school, you can check it out somewhere on development forum or in press releases
worst idea they had

Isn't it ridiculous, since, everybody is saying for ages now, that TL is overheated...and they simply want users even to produce less young decent players...?
It's completely lacking logical thinking from devs...Do they even think with any part of their body?

The developers plan a complex and complicated game, which drives away new users, and once I said it, Raul is wrong in the path that Sokker is taking, instead of giving away and that also drives away the payment of (plus).
In every company, if the client is happy, he pays, but if he is unhappy, he does not pay.
In every company, if the client is happy, he pays, but if he is unhappy, he does not pay.
The thing is that fortunately there are people that doesn't want the game to become more simple just because some users wont be able to play it. Those users have plenty of other games to satisfy their simplicity needs. Sokker is the chess of football managers and -at least in my case- I am happy with that. It would be terrible to see it become the checkers of football managers just because some users that are unable to deal with its complexity stop paying.

would be a good idea if devs doing a competition like euro nations league where similar rating teams play tournamenrs in same group.
In this way we dont have stress with friendlyes anymore and the things will be more exciting.

once player form becomes 0 it almost never gets better or max. goes up to 6 once per two seasons.
dozens of users already complained about this. I'm just writing again since this should be really fixed asap.

Because it's random +3 /-3 at limits of the levels, that's why it doesn't "seem" to change...
Nobody complains when you're at 18 and things don't change much :-)
Winning games should have (more) impact on global form, or at least, more "logical" criterias and less pure random to update form. Amen.

Well, do you have good form because you win matches or do you win matches because you have a good form?
But yea, the getting stuck at 0 sucks

True, it's a vicious circle, winning should not be the only criteria.
The chances interval should change with getting results.
So when a team is getting results, the chance for form to drop should diminish and vice versa.
Bot indeed, that is not the only criteria.
The criteria should be:
1) pure random: There should always be a chance for form to go up or down, even if it is small...
2) results: Better results should increase the chance for increasing form
3) NT results: The same as point 2, but this point replaces point 2 when playing for NT / U21 teams
4) Training: Improving a player should increase it's form... a player becoming better doesn't become worse!
5) health status: Injuries should have a negative impact on form
6) Tactical discipline: The higher this status, the better a player ''fits'' into a team and feels good into the team. Mental status is key for good form!
7) Stamina: The more stamina, the better the form! Players in good health have higher proficiency to maintain good form!
8) Form status: Players ''hanging'' in the same form for a longer time tend to move to ''very good'' form, whcih is the middle in the form line ( 9/18 )

Even I still love this game, probably I'll go inactive at least for some more years simply because game experience is not improved as much as I expected and still gameplay experience is not getting fixed / better for me.
I would like to share problems and solutions as a tech entrepreneur (2 SaaS, 1 app, 9 people) and a Sokker buddy (15+ years). I'll also add some of the most discussed issues on the forum even tho they are not completely my problems.
1- injuries
problem/experience: ridiculously long and frequent. for example all my 3 mids injured 20+ days in like two weeks and one of them is polish u21 which I trained carefully for long months and now he will miss 3 trainings. my estonian u21 attacker lost 4 trainings last season. since we are able to train 10 players, we need to buy and train only the best ones we can get. you spend your millions or months and ta da! 2 times of 30 days of injuries and your player behind its generation or you lost all your mids.
solution offer: injuries should be max 14 days. in addition, decreasing injury rate can be discussed.
2- youth school
problem: you almost don't get any sign from a player's talent for at least 5-6 weeks even with unearthly coach. all we seen is that estimated joining talent level notification which is already wrong because of talent estimation is not accurate. experience was better when it was predictable years ago. you probably get only 1-2 average or good players in two-three season (6-9 real months) which is boring. some users says its not even profitable for them.
solution: players should join at min. 15 y.o. instead 16 and min. level should be 3-4 since they should be joining our schools because they are somehow skilled for football. max age or max weeks should be calculated to be sure they join our team when their age will become max 20. To increase excitement and to help less user countries, we should be able to receive players from other nations maybe 20% or 25%.
(there was a user who made a detailed analysis and feedbacks about this much better than me which turned into a proper feature request text supported by dozens of experienced users already in the forum. dunno if devs care about it or put that into their sprint (if they have any) or not but it been a long time already. )
3- training
problem: not proper and can't be compared with real life experience. hard to understand for new users. it's almost meaningless to train most of 25+ y.o. players and almost everyone is playing with 30-35 y.o. players now because of this system which also corrupts TL. in real life some clubs are training hundreds of players, we are limited by 10.
solution: Training should be logical and realistic. Age, talent and weekly game minutes should be the only limit of training players like real world, not 10 slots.
4- mobile app
problem: we still play from browser in 2023.
solution: no rush maybe since we have bigger issues. but it would be fancy to make proper one quickly again if it's possible.
5- low user countries
problem: they are leaving the game or mostly staying for just youth school or some nostalgia. they want to change nation or migrate leagues of at least some countries as seen on forum since they don't have much competition.
solution: migrate all national leagues in sokker to global or migrate some countries as something like a joint-league. as i reed somewhere on the forum people says it would be hard to do that or similar things technically on current sokker league infra but at least devs may try to allow nation switch or create some other cups/ leagues for them and even for everyone to show that they don't only care about polish players.
6- no training for friendly nt games
problem: low user country nt's struggling with finding teams to train their low-mid level players on advanced training and since players don't get training from nt friendlies it gets even worse for them.
problem: Send stranger players to youth schools. or... I understand the logic behind the reason but this system is damaging low user countries even more. this game is not realistic already in most parts. "no injuries, full training" on nt friendlies should be discussed.
7- forms
problem: once player form drops to 0, it's almost impossible reach high levels like 15-18 for that player maybe whole of his career. in the real world Balotelli's are exceptions but in sokker as I see 25% of players are like Balotelli.
solution: a new calculation something like: randomness (%25) x how many matches / mins player played x trainer levels x age

I didn't mention finance and inflation as its known issue and devs are already working on that. My biggest issues are forms, injuries, youth school and training system. These things are essential and show-stopper for me. My suggestions or experiences may not cover all users, some may be happy with current finance, youth or injuries. but as you see there are also a lot of users complaining from same or similar topics I mentioned.
I think sokker needs to hire or build a proper team somehow or go opensource if they really want to make this game survive and grow again. Sokker development phase looks messy, unplanned and there is no proper roadmap that we can see.
I can understand how hard it is to work on kinda complex and old infra like Sokker. But you need to make things proper, in 2023 way. You need to listen users more and build upon their requests. So I would recommend one of these:
1st method:
Hire at least 1x Product Owner, 2x Backend, 1x Frontend, 0.5x UI/UX or whatever you need. Use Scrum. Get requests from your users, let them vote. Manage Sokker like an actual game company or startup. Maybe you can also start some crowdfunding, use kickstarter etc. to fund the team. If you already have a similar team like this, just fire the product owner and select one experienced sokker user as the product owner.
2nd method:
If you are not able to hire a proper team with money, make Sokker opensource. Use the power of crowdsourcing. You may open some or all parts, idk. I'm sure there are dozens of amazing devs in sokker already. You can try to get their support.
Also:
I believe we need a feature request board similar to this to create and vote detailed feature request suggestions whether the method is 1 or 2. So devs or product owner can decide and focus better on what to build next.
