Asunto: NEWS Sokker- big changes are coming!
but anyway, school is Rauls next reform project and maybe we will get something new soon
I can't say that I'm looking forward to it... they already presented their idea for "new youth school" and it was nothing but a sk-money grab to lower the inflation...
for example they wanted to introduce possibility to "improve youth facilities" only so that you COULD hire a brilliant/magical/unearthly coach... and that was the main idea of these changes, you'd have to pay more to get the same that you have now without paying...
that itself is an amazing idea... there ALREADY is a problem with not enough nice youngsters on the market, so they will make it even harder to have a decent youth school, so people who don't have luck with YS will decide to close them more often... bravo

Man this game is so f...d up...
I wanted to find the "new youth school" news to write down all their ideas but it's not even possible to find it, this new bs "Press centre" only shows last 9 Dev diaries...
and it's one of the "main new features"... god damn

The reason why i am suggesting logarithmic regression over linear is that the higher skills jump slower than lower skills. This is true for the A team players, but i do assume that the same happens with juniors. If that is correct then applying linear regression is wrong
Why not. But i have seen so much perfect linear progression on olders juniors screens during 30 weeks (and before reform) It seems doubtful.
Linear regression didn't work so well, like any statistics things the more we have data the better is... How can we confirm a talent 5.0 under twice the weeks of the talent (10 weeks) for example ?
All levels are "false" (round to lower integer like any sokker levels) for something that growing with decimals, plus off course coachs mistakes : Linear regression can't perform miracles.

The system (of progression) will not change only adding "facilities", it was an old announcement.

This is the announcement I was talking about... it basically changes nothing to the matter of Youth School, it won't improve it in anyway...
"We anticipate 4 different facilities that can be expanded as part of youth facilities:"
1. Scouting department - responsible for the weekly number of juniors recruited, and can also unlock the option of acquiring foreign juniors.
1. Basic Scouting Network - Weekly Junior Growth 1-5
2. Local Scouting Network - Weekly Junior Growth 1-6
3. Regional Scouting Network - Weekly Junior Growth 2-6
4. The National Scouting Network - Weekly Youth Growth 3-6
5. International Scouting Network - Chance of Getting a Foreigner - 5%
1. So now you will have to pay to have a chance to receive more youths weekly/have a flat minimum at highest levels + at highest level you MIGHT get a foreign youth...
2. Campus - determines the maximum number of juniors that we can have in our academy. Also, larger facilities increase the cost of maintaining a junior. The levels will be defined as follows:
1. Maximum number of juniors - 15
2. Maximum number of juniors - 20
3. Maximum number of juniors - 25
4. Maximum number of juniors - 30
5. Maximum number of juniors – 35
2. So now you will have to pay to get what you already have + extra 5 spots at highest paid level - it's already hard to even have 5 or 10 decent youths... they can give me 100 spots for them, it won't make a difference
3. Analytics - allows you to effectively measure the progress of juniors and assess their level. This parameter will allow you to decide how carefully you want to track the progress of your juniors, where the basic level corresponds to the current rating system. The next levels will allow us to get closer to the previous system (the oldest users probably remember) which measured the progress of juniors with full accuracy. Of course, every next levels will increase the cost of maintaining a junior:
1. Basic level of junior evaluation
2. More effective measuring +1 jumps
3. More effective measuring +1 jumps
4. Suggested position for new juniors
5. Accurately measuring pops
3. all levels are useless except for highest level [suggested position, lol] - that highest level with 100% accuracy [if it's 100%] will be useful but will it actually change anything considering the YS problem? No, it won't... I can already see which youths have talent and which don't... it's not that important if it's 3.3 or 3.5 except for selling purposes...
4. Training facilities - depending on its level, we can employ a better training staff. Here, higher levels of facilities do not affect the maintenance of junior slots - greater cost will be incurred by employing a better coach. The expansion will allow us to hire a specialist with the maximum level - but it will of course be possible to use a weaker specialist or not have a coach:
1. Maximum Coach’s Level - incredible
2. Maximum Coach’s Level - brilliant
3. Maximum Coach’s Level - magical
4. Maximum Coach’s Level - unearthly
5. Maximum Coach’s Level - divine
4. Here you will also have to pay for something that you already have for free... wonderful, isn't it? :-)
These change add NOTHING to the game except for a chance of a foreign youth... it's doesn't help the YS problems, it will only make it more financially demanding...
In addition to affecting the cost of maintaining one spot in the academy, the facilities will also require a one-time fee for their expansion.
You will have to pay for building every level PLUS it will also increase the cost of each spot in youth school... great news for new/poor teams and small countries with their u21s/NTs

Many of us have already said so, two years ago...
It's also remember that more than 100+ users vote to save our junior schools
And ending (for me) with a masterclass reply from Raul : "Please also check our idea of club facilities..."

15 sumskill not solid. But yea i understand to you ...
The game sends us a player as a goalkeeper, but there is tragic keeper . Game sends another player as a player, but player has adequate keeper. These need to change, but of course they will not.
I compared the change in talent against the first 10, 12, 15, 17 and 20 weeks. Talent calculated using regression. Chart below.
Comparing to the talent after the first ten weeks (blue line) - the talent deteriorated by an average of 4.2% after a further eight weeks.
After the first 12 weeks (red line) - deteriorated by an average of 3.2% after a further eight weeks.
After the first 15 weeks (yellow line) - deteriorated by an average of 2.35% after a further eight weeks.
After the first 17 weeks (green line) - deteriorated by an average of 2% after a further eight weeks.
After the first 20 weeks (orange line) - deteriorated by 1.9% on average after a further eight weeks.
The assessment after the first 10 weeks still seems quite vulnerable to changes in talent. With each subsequent week, the accuracy increases.
It is very interesting that the talent always falls over time. I don't see in my data a situation where after the initial assessment (10, 12, 15, 17, 20 first weeks) there was an improvement in talent even in one case.
What does this mean? I don't know, maybe the fact that coaches tend to overestimate skills at the beginning of a junior's stay in the academy?
It is too early to draw firm conclusions. The data can still be analysed in several ways.

According to the rules, first levels are more likely to be misjudged. This may be the beginning of an explanation.
With time the regression squares (width) get smaller which makes the talent more accurate (worse talent).
Looking for players in the infrastructure started to seem pointless.
infrastructure league has been canceled.

My new junior entry today :
Gabin Le Bras 18 0 (tragic) outfield 34 9 (very good)
At best he could ends the school at 21,5y at level 8 (if good talent). Basically, Sokker tells me (pressroom) he’s a very good potential.

Because it only shows you his potential level of he pops every 4 weeks (talent)
Obviously it’s useless and harmful for new users who don’t know how YS works, it’s known since the day it was introduced
