Not that cheap for start of a new team and even for me playing it from 2006 it's not been so great. I'm not sure how many season I am here and not sure how it looks longterm with +- as one season is for me 1 mln € in costs. But to have proper junior, not a long time...
I said as a guess.
i took only league matches. First league match started 24 Dec 23 and last league match ends 06 March 24.

6weeks of the season and I have not received a single 16yr junior. All.I can do is open free spaces and pray. I am pissed at Devs, junior academy reform should be an absolute priority
It's just a bad streak, no? Based on your statistics page, your youth academy is doing well above average in terms of sales :o) I know the sum value cannot stand alone, but for comparative purposes it seems you're doing fine in the long run. I agree a reform of the youth academy is much needed, though.

Not just about sales either.
Everytime you retain a good youth player.
That's a massive saving in transfer fee to buy that player. Maybe $10m to €20m saved for a top end youth or more.
If you're saving on not having a youth setup approx €1m per season. That will equate to buying 1 top end youth pull every 10 to 20 seasons. Plus you'll be competing with other Rich managers for the player and having to be around for the deadline time.
Conclusion
Madness to ditch you're youth system. Bad runs will happen.

I my previous experience
My best youth pull was a
Incredible+2 imo due to the skill distribution.
He was better than my best rated
Unearthly+1
16,17 yo even as low as solid/very good can be useful. Sometimes training them up a bit before selling helps. You can get lucky with multiple skill pops early.

Yes, having no youthschool is a very bad idea at the moment, especially with higher prices for very good youthplayers... In an extreme case you can earn back 15 seasons of school with 1 pull...
If you are lucky. Which i am not. Never had an unearthly junior and this is the 20th year i am playing this game.
F... i am old :D
F... i am old :D
I played 8 years before. About 10 years ago. Think it was 3 seasons or so per year. 24 seasons
Had
1 unearthly
3 magical
No idea if my luck was good or bad.

This was him btw. Still in my old records in the Scottish forums...
Unearthly : Eddie MacLeod : Age: 18 : Week 10
value: 95 100 £, wage: 1 185 £,
very good [9] form, tragic [0] tactical discipline,
height: 174 cm, ·weight: 66.2161 kg
adequate [6] stamina unsatisfactory [2] keeper
adequate [6] pace good [7] defender
excellent [10] technique very good [9] playmaker
weak [4] passing very good [9] striker
I was disappointed with him. Sold him. I trained central mids. We didn't have free range of trading then. Like there is now. That's a massive improvement btw. I'd of kept him then. :)

same with me 13 years of playing and one unearthly junior 20 years old... :-)
Would you be happy with a 21y old unearthly now?
End level isn't everything! Skill distribution and talent are at least as important as end level...
My last magical youth player had hopeless pace and unsatisfactory technique at age 19.
So he trained lots of seasons within my team because he had great talent and he was usefull on all field positions from the moment he had higher pace level.
But because his skills on pace and technique were so low, he was practically worthless at the moment when he came out of the youth.
My parents are paying 50 years irl for the lottery, but they never won (a big amount)
Must they protest against the devs of the lottery for that?
The youth system is the exact same thing. You invest in chances, not in certainties...

But in lottery everyone has the same chance, in sokker youth system its not the same case.
Also 21yo is not a junior. Max 18yo is.

That one was a perfect magical junior. Great age, even better skill distribution.
This is my last magical junior, 18yo:
2 3
9 0
8 7
10 9
I wish he would have the distribution of your junior :-)

2posto's player was divine, not magical.
