Asunto: NEWS Sokker- big changes are coming!

height existed since I remember, weight+BMI was added later, e.g 2011/12 like borkos is saying
it's certain that height and wight works as part of BMI,
it's certain that changes of the weight does not work at all,
but whether height or BMI has influence in ME it is hard to say, I am assuming it does have an effect but so small that almost unnoticeable/unimportant
however, might as well be not working at all, I just dont have/never saw any proof that height/BMI is not working in ME

It was implemented and yes it was supposed to influence a lot of things, but after the change of owners it turned out that they never actually implemented it... it was years ago so I don't really remember the details who exposed it, possibly Raul

"never implemented it in the engine, they just added the height/weight/BMI to player profile"

Borkos, you act worse than dtox this time....

Height is implemented for sure and has big effects on acceleration and on something else (which I want to keep secret).

I can't be sure about the BMI implementation because the effect is not obvious enough for me.

And now once again an excerpt from the rules:

"If a player is too light, they will speed up slower, as they have a lower muscle mass. In addition a player with a high weight will speed up slower, as they are too heavy. Heavy players will tire more quickly, compared to lighter players. The weight of a player will change depending on training, matches played and injury, although this has not been implemented yet."

Don't you think that the last part of the last sentence refers only to the change (also last sentence) and not to the whole paragraph?

------------------------
Just last night I put my gigantically tall striker on the TL and made an advert with an explicit focus on his height...
Damn, I was expecting a bidding war and not fake news about height... This is an intervention in the transfer market that can cost me money... :(

"It was implemented and yes it was supposed to influence a lot of things, but after the change of owners it turned out that they never actually implemented it... it was years ago so I don't really remember the details who exposed it, possibly Raul "

It?
You mean height or BMI.
Pls make it clear - people trust you and if you made a mistake about height, it's a second bigger mistake not to correct it.

Tton para tsolias
BMI wasn’t implemented back then, no
2024-09-14 11:14:50
He means height. It was said that it got implemented but in reality it never was.

Just remember the times people have complained here on the forum that their 18 gk has conceded a goal against out of form or low price strikers. I always checked and it was always strikers who can accelerate quickly.

That settles the height issue for me,
even if someone thinks otherwise - as Kryminator put it, I say the same thing: "I just dont have/never saw any proof that height is not working in ME "
2024-09-14 11:29:21
Height and BMI (wheight) is two different shoes here!

Height was implemented in 2009. And I am pretty sure there had a significant impact on the ME noticeable.

However, I don't know if it has been removed again in 2011 when BMI was added (but not implemented with effect on ME).

Sokker is like religion. If you believe enough it might be true for you :P

But in all seriousness there can't but no proof/disproof in this case at this point I'm afraid.
Owners once said it got implemented and then, a couple years later they said that actually it never really got implemented. Everyone is free to believe which time they lied and which time they told the truth :)
2024-09-14 11:43:36
it is also possible, far more possible imho, that owners never said anything about it, but this or that user says that they said that, spreading lies about X working/not working that way
2024-09-14 11:53:50
Bmi works on dtox im sure

That settles the height issue for me,

I had a 170cm striker who constantly scored headers :) such things prove nothing, you can find "evidence" for anything you want that way...

Don't you think that the last part of the last sentence refers only to the change (also last sentence) and not to the whole paragraph?

We are talking about inside info from the owners / someone with access to DEV forum, not old rules / old press info

There was info that it was not implemented at all into the match engine

But as I've said, it was info that came out years ago when new owners came, no idea where it was to find it now in exact quote

BMI is 100% not working
Height in my opinion is also not working and even the "shorter=faster" feeling that you see in game is affected by info that he SHOULD be faster/slower, also the bigger model always SEEMS to move slower than smaller model of a player

Of course, me and borkos can misremember it equally wrong.
It would be surprising to me though. I could imagine getting some detail wrong but not the whole context. But who knows :)

Borkos said "I had a 170cm striker who constantly scored headers"
It's also a strong evidence, that short strikers get first to the ball, thanks to acceleration.
Thank you Borkos :)

LOL, I totally agree with both sentences
here is a pic:

And I also like to quote Kryminator

"it is also possible, far more possible imho, that owners never said anything about it, but this or that user says that they said that, spreading lies about X working/not working that way "

That's the biggest truth - I always keep it on mind
