Subpage under development, new version coming soon!
Asunto: NEWS Sokker- big changes are coming!
Exactly. What is more this change makes life of competitive users worse because their first team older subs will get worse training.
For me it’s an amazing change and will make my game plan much easier but Im annoyed. It was supposed to be a change for ambitious players, it was supposed to promote playing for results.
Instead it’s a change that will make it even easier to stay in low leagues, train 16-17yo players and make loads of money.

I think Sokker devs have a fetish about non-rounded numbers.
Why don't make it simple, make 16-20/21 to train fully in friendlies (or 16-18/19 if you don't want to be too easy) and leave everything else as it is.
I'm totally for the idea the game to be challenging in terms of decision making but not in theory learning. While for us is not big problem to learn the another new formulas, for new users is just too much info at once.

Exactly. I was actually feeling some optimism after yesterday when it seemed like there was a plan but these changes are hugely disappointing. It shows a basic lack of understanding of the problem.

I think you are being way too overdramatic on this issue. Or you overestimate its influence.
Let's assume you don't train 33 yo players with advanced training.
Recently formation training was introduced to help slow down the process of skill drops. Formation training is double the amount of general training.
Only difference will be that an old player will need to play more to receive the same training.
If you don't play a player at all - nothing changes for you as he receives NO training at all in both cases.
So you're tlaking only about some reserve player that's gets regularly let's say 45 min per week.
Influance of that formation training on a given high skill will not be higher than 0,01 skill with full 96% training. So if your player is 14,53 pace, he will reach maybe 14,54 with one training.
When you play him 45 min he will receive nowadays 46,5% formation training. In new system he would receive something like I don't know let's say 30%.
So you talking about a ~15% difference in formation training which is almost nothing to begin with. A difference of 0,001 in one skill.
And now compare that to the skill drop possibility. You can get 2 drops in 2 weeks. Training of old players has very marginal effect on their skills. It's 99% aboout luck with not getting high drops each week.
In reaction:
Maybe I overreacted a bit, but what I want to tell is that there is never a clear update that makes this game more competitive.
There are always things/details that make it less competitive also.
1 thing is for sure, this game is not getting more competitive the last seasons as sokker promised to do.
I can tell, because, it is harder to stay in top division now. In the past years ( I am in top division for ages in a row) I managed to do that easier
But as I said, corner tactics and training young trainees will be my choice in the future, no problem.
And no, high taxes is not killing that, now I will train them for 3 seasons instead of 1 and still will have high profit.
With corner tactics almost no injuries also, great non competitive game!

but you won't change that by reforms of the game mechanics. Only negative interest rates or locking money like in hattrick will have an effect I guess.
again, I like this change and helping teams to compete AND to train easily mustn't be the main aim of sokker reforms, it would make it too easy for top teams and btw make it even harder for new teams to catch up.

You can't have a system that discourages competition. That is game breaking and also leads to maintaining the gap between the top and bottom.

yes, you will
if you create a system where you can train young players and still 100% compete in league and national cup (and they are apparently going in that direction...) then I will happily start playing for some results again (not going for 80+ rating etc., just playing at decent level and having some competition)
now it was just stupid from my point of view - I was able to fight for 1st place and even go to IIIrd league and play casually there, but it was impossible because I had 2 options:
a. train 2x 5 16-17yo players for ~30 minutes in every league game
b. play 1st game with first team and win + give up the 2nd game and play with ten 16-17yo players
it's just stupid, you can't compete because of it, so why bother and try to stay higher?
it's literally better financially to stop any investments into 1st team and just concentrate on training since you can't have any results anyway, because you have to forfeit every 2nd league game...
I really don't see anything bad in letting good teams train and create a money bank for the moment their top team gets too old and loses 80% of its original value... the game should promote people that are ambitious, play for results and are active. instead many of the changes in recent years promoted the passive way of playing, making money, or just sitting in low leagues and doing nothing.

Friendly giving 96% for 16-20yo players would be enough. 21yo players can already start getting some minutes, they are not terrible and won't destroy the game if the come for last 10-15min. 23yo players are already decent.
I'm saying U21 because most of U21 players, If not all players, are useless for top leagues, maybe we can extend this to U23 players...

Good idea. Friendlies without injuries would be great too, let the injuries for the "competitive mode".
You are right, this game should promote managers to play for results.
We need clear changes that make the game more competitive, as I said many times already ;)

Haha yeah I know it was a very poor (but ironic) choice of words from Poey. I think they meant to say that it’s hard to want to remain competitive when there’s way more benefit to just sitting in lower leagues and training thus more sides are doing that and reducing competition.
However, I did have a chuckle at the way they went about that.
