Asunto: NEWS Sokker- big changes are coming!
I'm seriously thinking about offering to buy sokker two years later after finishing the launch of our new products. I guess Sokker is monolith, even if so since chatgpt and other AI tools arise our coding time reduced around 80% and today it's much more effortless to divide services of Sokker into microservices if needed.

There is no perfect architecture. Microservices have their own challenges.

I'm planning, for the sake of keep playing sokker to implement something like a microservice in cloudflare for hosting an event we have in Cuba since ages, we called it "Xtreme" where teams put their best U20s in competition and they gain points per skill increase throughout the season, the winner is the player with more points at the end of the season, it has been like a savior for us. The idea would be to make the service available to be consumed from other services(like my manager tool) and make player participation automatic, this can be done soo easily...
right. I just guessed why it's so hard to make changes on match engine or some parts of the game. I'm more like if it works don't touch and the guy reduces overengineering for teams but you know, sometimes some dirty jobs may required. maybe some code rewrite modernization or whatever will be just enough
I think there's much that we don't know so saying devs are bad may be unfair. And the game isn't bringing much money in so budget is limited. I don't know the reason myself and how complex the engine or code base is so hard to say.
Code is old and I wonder if this alone is the largest issue - used a language, or combination of that isn't common anymore. Speculation.
In both my workplace and my wife's, both of us have to use or support antiquated systems because the alternative is replacing 'programs' that would be prohibitively expensive (so the bean counters say). At the University level we're talking Windows 7 OS. At my workplace, we're talking COBOL coded applications (and not object oriented). Heck my organization has been desperately trying to get rid of WINS utilization for over 15 years now. They can't haha

Sadly for me, the increment was just before my plus expiring date. So, it expired and I don't plan to keep paying since I consider the value doesn't match the price.
Anyway, I just wanted to say this: the game without plus is hardly playable. Too many ads, and I know there are ads blockers, but no game should force you to use anything like that. A new player with such amount of ads is more likely to quit than to pay the premiumship.
I could bear anything else, but the ads. I think they can control the shapes and types of ads, if so, the 'screen' ads are the worse, please consider just banner ads instead.

Was it always like that? I mean 2 years ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago? I have always used an ad blocker, so whether I had plus or not didn't even matter as I always have zero ads here.
