But it would be good and maybe even logical that last game in a "training week" is a friendly/cup game. Also helps if you get a red card in official games to get friendly game training.
The only way older youth would work is if changes ( proposed here, earlier) would allow them to be useful for training at age 19/20.
Under the present system, it's just not the case. I have a (purchased) divine 20 year old who is 23 now.
He will never reach 4x unearthly - forget divine.

I hear you, but it still sounds like chasing losses (in gambler speak). I'm going to hit the jackpot...just one more pull...
Random is going to be random. Despite these 'great prices' I haven't sold a single player for more than 22k. Hodge, on my team, was perhaps worth 100k if I had sold. This was before the tax changes though, I believe.

Are you sure you're keeping "all the right ones"?
YS is random, mine was terrible for a long spell as well, still it's surprising you only have 3 youth school players during 4 seasons. What happened to the rest?

My YS is absolutely terrible. 2 magicals since i have been here. 0 unearthly .
This is the rule i apply right now for estimated end sumskill:
16yo: min 20
17yo: min 30
18yo: min 38
19yo: min 45
And none of my current juniors have the potential to be at least brilliant:

This is what I "earned" from YS in 6 Seasons (1.8M from 1 junior I trained):
Sum: 2 058 553 €
But I have 3 more in my team, 2 of them have great talent (3.5 or better), and nice skills... I can't complain while I actually made profit!

The players I keep are based on a sliding scale based on age on release, final level, and talent. Similar to bluezero's chart. A 19.5 year old formidable pull with 3.8 talent isn't really going to be worth anything to me. The last 'talented' (assessed coming into this by coach) kid came in at literally poor, with the promise he'll finish "formidable to incredible". Oh, and he was age 18.
Just ridiculous stuff.
Unsure if I posted this earlier, but I just keep 9-11 players all of the time , because I've yet to get a trainable group. As of today I have 9 players, and of them 8 are trash. The 9th might be trash also, but it's a 16 year old with 4 weeks left, talent is unknown. He came in last week, and popped last night.

I recived 23mil from ys in 3y i start play again :) + i have 4 monsters in team now.. they have values about 35mil euros if i sell them now :D i usually save only perspective juniors and talented. if estimated skill can not be good with 3 talent (best scenario) i reject them.. and someone can be 4-4.5 but not more..

i also dont get any of 15 even 14 i dont get i think.. but they all solid talent and i train them a little and sell or keep like this generation now.. buy 8-9 native players and try to win the league with most of crna gora players :D i am not special with this luck random just proper selection i think..
