same today 1 18 yo lvl 4 and 8 weeks to end :D
Just please FIX the stupid YS system
How can it be so unbalanced?
How can it be so unbalanced?
Just ditch it, like I did.
Now, when nearly every other countryman gets a great player every season or two, I am less annoyed that I constantly got garbage luck at the same time.
I'm that 1% rng that gets boned 24/7 with it. So you know what? Some other sucker's curse now.

Or maybe your luck was due right after you ditched it ;o) I once had a long drought too, longer than yours. But then it turned. It seems to be as erratic as form patterns, but in the long run I think the rational thing to do is to keep the school. I understand your sentiment though.
Of course it's better to keep the YS if you can afford it.
My YS is terrible now and I already had very long droughts. In fact I think I haven't seen a brilliant youth leave my youth schools for at least 6-7 years (not seasons).
Janusz Stanowski 17 adequate [6] outfield 5
Konrad Matyasik 17 good [7] outfield 6
Witold Pielak 17 good [7] outfield 10
Janusz Krzyżanowski 19 very good [9] outfield 11
Konrad Kosynier 18 formidable [11] outfield 12
Jan Sebastian Walasek 17 solid [8] GK 12
Radosław Pielorz 17 adequate [6] outfield 14
Lucjan Bober 16 poor [3] outfield 14
Jeremiasz Domański 17 average [5] outfield 15
Ryszard Jaśko 17 very good [9] GK 19
Chrystian Wichniarek 17 solid [8] outfield 23
Emanuel Łukasiewicz 17 adequate [6] GK 28
nothing valuable to come of it right now
at the same time I've got a youth that after some in-club training went for 13 000 000 $ and another one who went for 7 250 000 $ also after season or two of training.
you get 1-2 lucky youths in a couple of years, but those lucky shots will pay for whole YS expenses during x years.
of course one can get 0 lucky youths in 2 years and another one can get 4. it's normal.
you just can't expect to get great youths after 1 or 2 seasons. some will, most won't. but if you are from a smaller country especially and can afford it, youth school makes a lot of sense - especially with the prices of 16-17yo that were in previous seasons.

btw the guy you're telling to ditch the youth school in last ~2 years made around 35 000 000 $ from his youth school players
he had lucky shots, he just expects to get them all the time

It may be not a problem with this kind of ratio. But "lucky/unlucky ratio" is much more in the extreme than this. I ve count "excellent draws" during a season : 0 to 12 by teams. Not to say that "luck turns" is just an expression, there is no reason that luck change from hand to hand, during years.
The “normal” is that juniors have to be fired every week for each teams, that's the only "fair" thing.
2 years ago, I already warned the developers and over 200 users voted for simple change. We're still waiting for their promised "big" reforms.

That's insane.

well that's the point of random
in case of youths you need 5 factors (low age, high level, good talent, low number of weeks, good skill draw) to coincide together and for each you have just x-1x% chance to happen, all of them happening together is rare because to 5 low chance factors being optimal together is a very low %
it's a bit easier with 16yo because here talent is not that important or not important at all (in terms of selling straight from ys in first weeks)
it could be tweaked a bit (max starting age 17, min. 50% open places filled etc.) but it would still be very much dependant on random and it would impact the game in smaller or bigger manner. for example if you limit the starting age to 16-17 instead of 16-18, you will now get 2x more 16yo players and 2x more 17yo players which will vastly improve the amount of top players in the game, WHILE at the same time it would still mean that some people get x top youths and others get 5x top youths so people will still be angry that they are unlucky while others are much more lucky

Sure, but at least it will drastically reduce the impact of very bad luck. And frustration.
Removing 18y basically remove much weak draws, but we still need 4 others random factors to catch tops.
Even after retouching all others randoms (like I did), it's "only" double excellent draws in stats. Not a huge move.
Still randoms and luck, but no doubt it'll produce fewer rotten draws every weeks, and a lot less frustration.

btw. the average number of new youths / team is 3.5 weekly
so above the "at least 50% of 6 empty spots in ys"
so above the "at least 50% of 6 empty spots in ys"
As far as i know zero draw didn't exist for 6 open slots. btw.
You've also misunderstood the reading. “50% of having 3” is not normal probability, it is literally “50% of having 3”.
