Your player has + 1 in main skills for defender, and +4 in secondary skills it is not so similar /your can be trained as mid too, his no chance with -5 skills/, your player going to have minimum double price than Riga one , if you put him on TL now - 1 000 000 $!

My experience with opening startbids is that they mostly won't be falling into bidwars or interesting bids.
Either they're not sold and you lose the opening fee or they are sold barely for that amount. People see opening bids as a cover-up for a bad talent f.e....
On the other hand...if they start low and more people are interested, they tend to let themselves get seduced by overbidding because there's lots of interest for that price and it seems like a bargain price.
