Wow some big results this week, incredible scenes.
QUARTERFINALS RESULTS (Home vs Away)
1. Australia vs Nippon - 3:0
2. India vs Cymru - 1:0
3. Viet Nam vs Malaysia - 0:1
4. Ozbekistan vs Jamaica - 2:1
Teams Left in the comp, and will play both of the next two weeks regardless of result
3. Australia (42)
6. India (58)
13. Malaysia (78)
17. Ozbekistan (89)
Australia is the only team who based on seeds, would have been expected to make it to the semi finals.
India would be happy with this result, punching above their weight and whilst they knew they would be an outside chance of winning it, the first big goal would have been to make it to the semis
Malaysia and Ozbekistan, what can I say, both the nations and the coaches should be extremely proud. Neither would have been predicted to make it to the final 8, let alone the final 4
Good luck everyone going in to the semi finals
