I will change it for the next one and re-write my posts so the current Asian cup is on the 1st page.

On the first page though, I did write is large letters and with a link to the current Asian Cup, which then had the correct dates, weeks etc. There were also multiple people who asked for confirmation of the starting week within the discussion which I answered.

I can see where you had the confusion, but also the dates listed on the copy and paste you put in were incorrect which should have given a clue that the schedule was an out of date one.
This is also because the format, number of rounds etc. is determined by the number of teams that sign up (as I want to include everyone who wants to participate as well as giving everyone at least a few matches).

Sorry you ended up getting confused due to it. I will always aim to make it as simple as possible to follow and continue to update grey areas each season.

I have now adjusted it so the first post of the front page is the latest Asian Cup.

In future seasons, I will move the archived posts in to the second post, and the upcoming/current will be on the front page to avoid any confusion :D

Daehan Minguk has a lot of potential that was not profited in last seasons with its last coaches... They didn't care about the NT.

You have done a great job with this Asian Cup, we really appreciate the effort to get this well done. Sometimes we find some things to fix in the path, and I see you are just trying to get it better each time. Thanks for your periodical reports and your effort, that gives some more fun to the game for asian NTs and users.

Flat out at work at present but I'll aim to get this updated within the next 36hr (hopefully next 12), so don't go organising matches just yet, just in case it goes wrong.

so happy to be the first in our group, since the begining I thought that it would be Malaysia (even for the last match) but we made it :)

I'm really proud to have raised very much the level of Daehan Minguk and to be in the next round, still more as a first classificated. But being reallistic, I think that next match will be the last one for us because really good NT have passed to the next round.

I really want to know who will be our opponent but no hurries achmid, take the time you need :)

Congratulation for U21 Daehan Minguk and Malaysia. I hoped to do a good job,but I have no more good players from last year. I dont have a goalkeeper. For the last match I found one from a boot team:)))) I cone back to the next season

Analysis

The seeds moving in to the Quarterfinals are the following (Quarterfinal Seed - Team - Asian Cup Seed)

1. Nippon - 8
2. India - 4
3. Rossiya - 3
4. Zhonghou - 9
5. Daehan Minguk - 18
-------
6. Malaysia - 13
7. Australia - 2
8. aa-Sa'udiyya - 7

Taking a look at the above, there are a few very interesting points.
- Daehan Minguk, the 3rd last seed, not only managed to make an incredible run in to the Finals, but managed to do so as the number 1 of their group.
- Malaysia and Zhongou were able to look past their initial seed, and book a spot in the Quarters, something which the initial seeding would not have predicted.
- 1st and 2nd seed from the group stages have arguably the tougher opposition of the top 4 seeds - according to initial seeds. Is it a case that their opposition were seeded too high? Or do you have to beat the best to be the best?
- The bottom half of the draw sees a couple of very interesting potential matchups.
Should India win, they could potentially play Malaysia, the team who knocked them out of Asian Cup 5 in the semi finals.
Should Australia win, then it would either set up a top of the table Group D rematch which Rossiya won 1-0, or it will be an Asian Cup 5 Final Rematch against Malaysia for the Semi-Final, something I'm sure Malaysia would love to get redemption with.
- At the top half of the draw, Zhonghou and Daehan are playing off. Both teams found themselves coming last in their respective groups of Asian Cup 5, with just 1 draw and 5 losses between them. Incredible turn around to say the least.
Daehan may also be wanting some redemption against Nippon following their group stage result in Asian Cup 5, where Nippon secured a "best of second" place thanks to a win against Daehan.
As far as aa-Sa'udyya are concerned, maybe they will be in the best spot to make it to the final with no recent Asian Cup history weighing them down

Finally, I want to remind every coach, remember, this competition isn't just for the coaches of the U21 National teams, it is also for the managers within that country.

If it wasn't for the managers within the country you are looking after, we wouldn't have an Asian Cup.

Please remember to speak up and get excited about the Asian Cup within your National Forum. You never know who may get interested from watching this. It will also show them there is more to the National team than just the Sokker Organised World Cup. With many Asian teams coming from countries with less the 30 users (many less than 10), it is also the only chance they have of seeing their U21 National Team have a chance to compete against similar matched opposition. As we have seen even between Asian Cup 5 and Asian Cup 6, with some good training, teams can easily go from a bottom of the table team to a Quarterfinal team.

So get out there, post the Asian Cup in your forums, send your users messages alerting them to the Asian Cup and how the team is doing, and let's keep encouraging these small nations to stick around and keep growing.
