If you are part of the "guest" tier (below the line), consider trying to find other friendlies too just in case you aren't included in the final draw as I will use guest teams to fill out places for the competition structure I end up using (will only know this once I have more of an idea of number of teams as I try to make it an interesting type of competition each season).
