A summary of the ongoing U21 World Cup:
España U21
1) How would you rate the play of your national team at the world cup, what are you not satisfied with and what do you like about the play of your national team
1- I'm not going to supply my opponent with weapons. But what I can say is that we kicked 46 times and only scored 2 goals. On one hand I can improve the efficiency (I won't give details) but on the other hand I leave it to Handcap (yes, like it or not, it exists).
2) Name the national teams that positively surprised you at the World Cup and why. (minimum 2 teams)
2- Colombia and Peru. They were not the favourites in Group A and still qualified.
3) What, in your opinion, were the unfortunate disappointments of the World Cup and why? (minimum 2 teams)
3- Turkey and Germany. They were favourites and failed (especially Germany who lost all their matches).
4) At what level do you think the U21 World Cup is?
4- Now one mistake could be fatal.
5) Name 4 matches from the World Cup that you think were the biggest sensations of the tournament.
5- Since the qualifiers I've been trying to correct a deficiency in Spain's squad (they had better players in the qualifiers). So I dedicate my time to that and not to watching the games of countries I'm not going to play against.
6) We have reached the final and with a few games behind us, can you name 3 teams that will make the U21 World Cup podium?
6- I still have the same opinion as on day one. Romania, Italy and Poland (in that order).

Let me remind you France played in group D :
1. France U21 1-0 Italia U21 (I consider this result a pleasant surprise)
2. México U21 0-2 France U21 (in this match we were favorites, although Mexico at the World Cup showed a great game, the result fair, we did our job.)
3. France U21 1-2 Hellas U21 (a real circus, we were leading the game, we had a big advantage we should have scored a few more goals, but it was an unsuccessful match for us an injury to one of the best strikers, and the last 10min, it was a showdown of the Greek U21 national team. It was enough to play good soccer 10min to win the match, congratulations to the national team and the coach of Greece U21)
In general, if not for what happened in the match against Greece U21 in the last 10 minutes, I would have been satisfied with our attitude.
At the moment I feel distaste.
Defeat against Greece U21 means we have to play against the Polish U21 national team.
Bad luck? I won't call it that, you want to be World Champion you have to win against everyone:)
I am a coach from Poland, so for me this match has a double meaning, so my dream is that France U21 win. I realize that it would be a sensation, but I believe in it.
In the group stage, I was positively impressed by the national teams :
Group A: Perú U21, Colombia U21 (Let me remind you that it was these national teams that eliminated some of the main favorites for the world title Deutschland U21, Türkiye U21)
Group B: Schweiz U21 (3 matches, 3 Bravo wins), Hayastan U21 (Congratulations for the sensational victory over Spain U21)
Group C: România U21 (In the group stage, they played as befits the defending world champions Bravo.)

Now let's talk about the disappointments of the World Cup:
The big sensations, and surprises, I would call Group A and Group H.
1. Türkiye U21, Deutschland U21 I think the table view tells us everything.
2. Bulgaria U21, Magyarország U21 I think the table view tells us everything.
I assess the level of the world championship as very good.
We have many surprises, we have impressive victories and a lot of excitement. We have active fans, right here on this forum in this topic:) There are controversies, for example: such a Poland U21 attacks, shoots on goal but nothing comes out of it, maybe the engine of the game does not help, but this is certainly not the case, gentlemen this is soccer this is a tournament..........

A summary of the ongoing U21 World Cup:
Ireland U21
1) How would you rate the play of your national team at the world cup, what are you not satisfied with and what do you like about the play of your national team
1- Last time Ireland played on WC in 2017. I have been Ireland coach since 2020, so I needed three years to build the team which played on WC. It is my small success, because I made a lot of efforts to do it. I achieved 4 place in the group and I also leveled the best result since Ireland has played on WC. During group I played with Portugal, Argentina and România. Both first matches I lost 1-0, but I could make surprise and to achieve at least draw, but the engine didn't help me. Last match I played u20 vs u20 of România and I lost 6-0. I am taking care fully responsibility for this match. I made wrong decision and instead of play defensively I decided to play open game. România presented their strong and congrats for Del P1er0 who can win WC using only u20 players.
I would like to THANK Irish users whose have supported me during three years. We prepared together a lot of players whose are playing in NT. I hope that gruchalus will play Ireland NT in WC, last draw in WCQ with Germany it was great result.
It is also time to say goodbye and give opportunity to others useres to help Ireland to achieve better result than I did.
It is my last season in Ireland, but I would like to in the future one more time to play Ireland u21 on WC and maybe to play in Cup WC phase :-)

You are a very good coach, and winning promotion to the World Cup for Ireland U21 is a huge success / congratulations. Now recall our first conversation:

2- Finally I have achieved my goal and I am going to play on WC in very strong group - Romania, Argentina, Portugal all above teams have chance to play in the next phase. I would like to achieve at least one draw during three matches, but It will be mission impossible :-)
6. What advice would you like to pass on to other U21 national team selectors ?
6- I have found in NT matches the new life in the sokker. U21 is very interesting because you have to looking for the new players every season and prepare tactics according to them skills. You can also discuss with users from others countries about the players whose have chance to play in u21 in the future. I am waiting every single week to see u21 match and every Thursday I hope that my NT players will improve them skills. NT is very important part of sokker for us. The owners please don't destroy this fun :-)!!!
(well unfortunately Ireland U21 did not even get 1 point in the group, but still respect for the work, promotion to the World Cup is a success,I also showed the 6th question because the answer is for All Sokker Fans, it is worth playing it is worth training it is great fun and a good break from everyday life)

2- Finally I have achieved my goal and I am going to play on WC in very strong group - Romania, Argentina, Portugal all above teams have chance to play in the next phase. I would like to achieve at least one draw during three matches, but It will be mission impossible :-)
6. What advice would you like to pass on to other U21 national team selectors ?
6- I have found in NT matches the new life in the sokker. U21 is very interesting because you have to looking for the new players every season and prepare tactics according to them skills. You can also discuss with users from others countries about the players whose have chance to play in u21 in the future. I am waiting every single week to see u21 match and every Thursday I hope that my NT players will improve them skills. NT is very important part of sokker for us. The owners please don't destroy this fun :-)!!!
(well unfortunately Ireland U21 did not even get 1 point in the group, but still respect for the work, promotion to the World Cup is a success,I also showed the 6th question because the answer is for All Sokker Fans, it is worth playing it is worth training it is great fun and a good break from everyday life)

A summary of the ongoing U21 World Cup:
Suomi U21
1) How would you rate the play of your national team at the world cup, what are you not satisfied with and what do you like about the play of your national team
1- Unfortunately the World Cup went as I expected. Defensively we managed very well but couldn’t create anything in the attack. In the first game my tactic with winger worked well and we should’ve won that game. In the second game I was maybe too afraid to lose and the game was all about trying to survive. The last game was even but I think we had better chances. All we needed was one more goal in any of the three games.. I liked the defending of our team (1 goal conceded), disliked the attacking of our team (1 goal scored), simple as that. But it’s all up to what type of generation you have and what positions are lacking talents.
2) Name the national teams that positively surprised you at the World Cup and why. (minimum 2 teams)
2- I have to pick Bosnia from our group, I was sure after the first game they’d end up last in the group, but quite on the contrary. It was us and they won the group, well done! Australia was a positive surprise to me also, a draw against Croatia and 1-0 against Brazil. A draw in the last game would’ve made them go through.
3) What, in your opinion, were the unfortunate disappointments of the World Cup and why? (minimum 2 teams)
3- It’s boring to pick the same teams than everyone else, but obviously it’s Turkey and Germany. Germany with zero points hitting marks close to 60. And Turkey dropping out from the same group after winning Germany in the first game, who saw that coming after round one?!
4) At what level do you think the U21 World Cup is?
4- It’s more even than before for sure, but you’re already starting to see the effect of shorter seasons. The players are weaker than in the past, goalkeepers are too overwhelming compared to the strikers. Two goals in total in my three group games. 0-0 against Serbia when both had three attacking players.. But the knockout stage will be very interesting, I’m waiting for some big fat surprises in the next games!
5) Name 4 matches from the World Cup that you think were the biggest sensations of the tournament.
5- Australia U21 - Hrvatska U21 1:1, Türkiye U21 - Perú U21 0:1, España U21 - Hayastan U21 1:2, Magyarország U21 - Lietuva U21 0:1

6- Polska had a difficult start for the tournament but now when they got their first goal scored, I find them difficult to be stopped. Romania on the other hand scored 13 goals in the group, 6 in the last game when using U20 team. Let’s see if they can keep up with that pace?! And as the third I pick Switzerland. Their performance, especially in the defense has been rock solid. They might take a medal!

I'd guess all of the teams will win at least one match so it will go to the very last minute of the 3rd round games before we know who will advance. I hope it will be us, perhaps the second team to go through will be Serbia.
