The concept described in dev diary 23 is literally the most dumb thing to do if you want to attract new players. Isn’t the point of building/strengthening your club in training your own youth instead of buying good/established players? Also if this system means paying more for the same or even worse outcome, who in the right mind would focus their hard earned money in the youth system. This means less talent factories (clubs that focus on youth school and training good young players) and down the line less options on the TL. And the last thing would be the 5% chance of getting a foreigner. F.e. in Slovenia there are literally 2 clubs capable of realizing the youth schools full potential. Besides that, what’s the point of them having a foreign youth player? We are such a small country that any foreigner trained in youth school is potentially a NT player lost down the line. This is a really bad idea folks…

The other thing is money. Big nations where clubs now earn 1/3 more money then before the reform have a huge advantage with this system. For smaller countries f.e. Slovenia where we have 4 clubs who reach the full attendance at their league games, the now bad situation with not enough slovenian youths and later NT players, will even worsen!

The general concept for youth school changes is VERY bad and is basically an anti-inflation move that solves zero problems with youth school, just makes people pay for what they have now for free.

But the foreign youths thing is not that bad, look:

Levels are as follows:

1. Basic Scouting Network - Weekly Junior Growth 1-5
2. Local Scouting Network - Weekly Junior Growth 1-6
3. Regional Scouting Network - Weekly Junior Growth 2-6
4. The National Scouting Network - Weekly Youth Growth 3-6
5. International Scouting Network - Chance of Getting a Foreigner - 5%

Remember that it's it's just an option that you have to pay for to unlock...so if you don't want foreigners in youth school, just don't invest in it.

It's actually a good thing for smaller country, because teams from bigger countries (like Poland, Romania etc.) will have a small chance to get a youth from Slovenija, New Zealand or Saudi Arabia...

So better countries will have more foreign players of a certain smaller nationality comming from their youth schools than the domestic smaller countries will have youths of their own nationallity. That is not what it should look like and it defeats the purpose, because it makes players from smaller countries worth less. A better concept would be to naturalise a player once he plays enough matches for a team, and he never played for the domestic U21 or NT…

Everything has already been said about this Ys Devs plan, it’s not a scoop they didn’t play the same game as we play.

Off course we can comment this plan again in this topic, it’s even more useless than just support a community idea.

the topic of the junior school will certainly be worked out ultimately - but it takes some time - for now we focus on patching all the backlog that has accumulated with recent changes, e.g. there are still errors in training reports, we are improving translations, etc.

We want to clean up all the bugs that are currently in the game after our changes, and only then we will take on the next larger block - it will probably be a junior school in some form.

How much time do they invest in "developing/fixing bugs"?
Because it looks like 10 minutes per week.
