Of course random is a necessary part of any game but the everlasting debate is how much random. Personally, to some extent I agree with Sviktorov that a little less random in match engine would be a little better, but there are pros and cons.
Obviously less random is in favor to the strongest teams (less likely for an underdog to get on a hot streak and compete for their titles). But I'm sure even the weaker teams want less random because most people believes it's more often than not against them. Which is entirely psychological bias and people don't realize the random helps them at least as often as it has hindered them. Just like punters always complain about how their bets too often fail in the last minute of games, not realising that in the long run they just as often win in the last minute. So in the end of the day most people will believe random hates them no matter what.
Anyway, change in random means opening the match engine code so no point to discuss at all :D

Imo, the problem with the random in this game is that it's just too harsh.
You can have 2 consecutive games against the same opponent, with both the same tactic and players and the first game, you win 5-0 and the 2nd you lose 0-5.
That is what I see as a problem within random! I know, difference and random must be there, but not in this magnitude imo.

Random is one thing. Bugs and bad officiating are the other one. First one is normal and we could accept it, hardly but we could. Second one we couldn't.
