hehe
I knew you will respond on that...
;-)

Was crap... but my tactic worked since it supprised you...
So thats leads us to the bottom line as i said before - its all about the opponent....
;-)

p.s
I played in semllier way against Senegal too and it worked fine , but they are weaker than you , so ill used the match against you as an example...

Yeah that's true, but who in the lower leagues spend money on getting decent secondaries for defenders?

I'm gonna try 3-1-3-3 on my new team. Have had no matches so far, but we'll see. It's based on 3-4-3, but I edited abit, and made one of midfielders upper defense, so it's like between midfield and defence. that's why 3-1-3-3. We've played similar tactics in real life with my team, should be working fine. ;)

Now I'm playing this game for 4.5 years and I'm getting more and more depressed. I was never good at tactics because I'm too lazy for that and I don't have a problem with losing against a team that is (tactical or not) stronger than mine, but since 2.5 seasons I feel like my team is only able to win if they are are far better than my opponent and if I have enough luck to have no bad luck, but the problem is that I haven't changed much at all so I don't know what is wrong now.

I had a keeper with magical keeper and incredible pace who wasn't able to save at least each second ball and who failed endless (wasn't able to get a pass twice in a game and so on) so I downgraded him to incredible/formidable. Can't feel a difference, saved money, maybe downgrading to good/good soon. On the other site I have a "unearthly" striker who, while on the other side a weaker striker rocks, had an efficiency of less than 20% this season. just watch my relegation match.

Second half is often a totally disaster for me. It happens often enough that the game is to 60% in the half of my opponent in the first half - in the second half it's the opposite even if all of my players have maximum stamina and I don't let them run more compared to the days when I had no problems. My opponent leads 1-0 (at that time ok) to the half, including two red cards for him in minute 25 and 42 in the defensive - no problem, my players starts acting like stupid in the offensive so I lose 1-4. my defenders are acting stupid playing cross passes all the time even if they have pm and ps ~ excellent or maybe they just kick the ball out.

I don't want to become a tactical genius here, I have no problems with loosing when it is okay, but since 2.5 seasons everything is going wrong and I have to do something very wrong and if someone could tell me my basic mistakes I would be very happy.

What do you think about this experimental tactic?

It's an OGV format (Ogg Video), maybe you have to see with

tactic

nice one, but depends what players do you have. looks like a tactic of mine, but i've change it after i've sella part of my team. At throw in you may have a little problem, try to play closer the mids, to offer crosses in center of penalty area. Attackers changes to much between them. in defence, try to put one def in de middle of penalty area, at 11m, because it's important at opposite corner-kicks. Just my oppinion:)

Before I begin commenting, I just want to explain what I mean when I say for example "in 7.5."
As you can see, the tactic maker has 35 squares, divided in 7 rows and 5 columns.
Row 1 is the most bottom one, the 7th is the most upper one.
The 1st column is the one on the left, column 5 is the one all the way to the right.
With that out of the way, let's begin. :)

First off, could you move the white ball slower around next time? You go so fast at times, that I can hardly see the positioning in 7.1.

At throw in you may have a little problem

Quite a big huge one imo. In 6.1, 6.5, and 7.5 (but strangely not in 7.1) where in every throw-in the ball will go to his striker.
In 7.2 - why did you move your defence so many places down?
5.2 & 5.4 - why are the number 4 and 5 in 5.2, and the number 2 and 3 in 5.4, positioned so odd when compared to 4.2/4 and 6.2/4?
4.1 & 4.5 - leaves too much room for an opponent's winger.
1.2 & 1.4 - I'm just curious, but why do you choose to move your defenders up 1 place?

I hope my commentary proved usefull to you. :)

Please assess my tactics

A few things:

You should move your strikers around more. Especially in the 7th (upper) row. Also in the 7th row, the throw-ins aren't set up well, the mids get into the opponent's penalty area and that's a big no-no in my opinion.
However, most glaring is that your defense is way too much focused on your centre. Especially when it comes to throw-ins you have literally no defense against a winger.

Could someone else assess my tactics?

Thank you Mithos :) I fixed what you said

I think is to linear, mids must move a little bit up un down, not to stay every time side by side. At throw in, try to move the second mid in front to recive the ball for crossing. Attackers are too close to each other. try to move more flexible in attack
2010-04-28 11:16:57
I think there are two main problems:

- Keeping proper distance between lines. (When attacking distance between advanced midfield and defense is a little too much, this means that your team loose the ball quickly) To solve this get up the defenders lines (high pace is needed then for defenders and the risk is counter-attack against you) or make 4 lines instead of 3 (only push 7 & 3 to cover behind 6,8,9 and push back one the advanced midfield line players(8 when your attack is by side or 6 or 9 when attack is centered)

- Defenders are too static and 9 and 6 are not defenders so opponents wingers has a highway to corner. At this point your last movement in defense is pretty good covering side back with 7 or 3 moving. This is the key to make your defense line more close to wing when defending against. So doing this before you'll get more consistance in defense. As 9 or 6 are not defenders, they only press; so to stop wings take there a good back-side defender.

Your's is now a defensive tactic waiting for counter attack. So you need quick connection between back miedfield and forwards if this your choosed way to play.

Good luck! :)

what are you training ? if mids better play a 4-5-1 and if defs play 5-3-2 but those 5 defs put in a line :)
