Asunto: Tactics advice

mnyeah:P but on lostoprophet case more offensive players should equal more goals. If you check lostoprophets´ players you will see that his team is a worthless piece of sh.. which means that those 11 guys very likely have no idea how or where to pass. so in theory if you have more players in offence there should be bigger possibility that one of his players will catch the pass.. ofcourse the quality of shots on goal will drop but more chances should rise slightly the scoring.

for a start get your strikers on squares 1-5 one step lower so they would be on your side of the pitch.

I must disagree for his number 10 & 11 will not be standing offside in this tactic. Putting them any lower would be pointless imo.
What is wrong in squares 1-5 is that his players aren't moving. In square 1.5 for example, to which player is number 4 supposed to throw the ball in a throw-in? Also what about the massive space in the penalty are? The least that can be improved is having number 5 move 1 place to the right.

The same problems keep occurring in the rest of Lostprophets tactic though:
- The biggest being that his players aren't moving nearly as much as they should. Lostprophets' tactic is way too static, as if his players are incredibly lazy.
- Throw-ins. Especially when it comes to defending there are huge spaces for a winger. When it comes to atacking, the distance between the thrower and the recipient is often too large. Same with corners.

Instead of keeping your strikers symmetrical it is worth having 1 (or both) directly in front of the goalmouth. Poor strikers will find it harder to miss from there

now to think about it, strikers should move back if the def is higher, I guess there was a mistake in my memories:P.

but let´s say that I´m gonna hit a corner and I have all field players in oponents penalty area, does that mean that in this case all oponent strikers and midfielders are also in penalty area?

I don't know... perhaps you should try it out, and give us the answer? :)

that is an excellent idea, I know I ´actually used it a very long time ago in friendlies, but I never watched those matches.. I´ll see if I can find them.
2010-05-01 16:18:46
ok I watched the match, I got a corner but apparently, son of a biotch, I had left 1 man back to defence:((( however, my oponent got a corner aswell and when the corner was going to be kicked, oponent defenders war much(1-2 steps in tactics) closer to my goalkeeper then my striker was. and as far as I know there is no offside rule on your own half of the pitch, so it is useful to have strikers lined just under the mid line if your oponent is taking a corner.

Most my mains are 3x solid/very good in the mid stats, so they arent that bad. I paid more attention to attacking throwin rather than defending them - personally, im playing against bots, so you know :)
Anyway, I'll go edit it now.

And my players are static because a) they are insanely slow, and b)most have little stamina, especially my reserves.
2010-05-01 21:16:27
And I resent my players being called sh*te, not a single one is over 20 years old - I challenge you to make a great team of young trainees with 10k losses nearly every week. I've done the best I can.
2010-05-01 22:14:45
sorry:D I saw you have young players only but I just couldn´t resist:P but yeah there are pretty many bugs on your tactic. probably the biggest one is that your oponent will get a free 100 meter run if he is on one of the sides. but as I herd your oponent teams´s players have IQ between 70 and 80 then I actually don´t know if it does matter if you fix the other problems or not. but this tactic will be very likely demolished against the leader of your league. btw do you mind skmailing me your main squad players with their skills? curiosity has crawled between my ears, I promise not to comment them and maybe I can share some tips.

and what do you mean by 10k losses every week?

:)

I dont want to beat the league leader yet, have more training to do before promotion.

The best thing is, as 75% of division are bots, they have awful defender skill so Kramp, my reserve striker, waltzes through them with v.good tech :)
Every week on average, I was losing 10k a week, just checked again, I have better coaches, but NO junior school and i'm saving money now :D

I'm on my nintendo wii, I'll skmail u tomo.

oh I know what you feel:P after every saturday 220k euros vanishes from my account, and for some reasons every time I see that my first 2 questions are what the f is this? who the f took my money? and then I think about a minute or so if I maybe had bought a player yesterdey. and then I realise, oh darn it´s saturday again.. but luckily I have $$ :P.. at the moment my account will survive for the next 6 weeks and then I have to sell somebody.
