Asunto: Tactics advice

2010-05-06 12:48:50
There is more in your tactic what I dont like, but I will mention two:

When the ball is in the center your DEfs are to wide (Almost everywhere they are just to wide)
And your number 7 is running from his own DEF line to the oponents 16 meter area. And what is a MID doing there? Does he have high scoring? But high scoring doens't help that much, ATT with MID doesn't perform that well.

I'm sure MIthos or somebody else can make a larger review.

New manager here at Sokker with some mild success so for.
Anyways i was drawn to Sokker by mindblowing fact you can set your own tactics!

Anyways so i played around a lil with the Tactic board for my first match witch went well 7-0 yay for me.

But as i watched the game i saw alot of flaws in my tactic so i decided to go back to the drawing board once again after reading alot of info from around interweb.

This is what i came up with, please bear in mind i'm still very new here and do not have the wast knowledge that alot of you people have here.

First of i made a "Tactic Board" with numbers acoarding to the zones of the playfield.

Now i'm very defence oriented manager, as i'm in real life watching soccer so bear with me here.
My idea of the pitch is to cover as much ground as possible around the ball or play area.

My 5-3-2 with my idea of Zone cover.

And the same tactic but with a higher far end midfielder (the own pitch is the same as above)

Thanks for reading and watching.
All suggestions is more then welcome.

Peace
Mike

/EDIT: No idea if you can see my vids so i posted links aswell\

it's a good tactic in my opinion but i think when you are atacking your full backs are useless and there is a huge gap between your center backs.

i have to watch it in a match and might work better than i expect.

the defenders come far to high in my opinion...

And @denevens

From the 2 matches i've played when the attacking team gets in line "3" and approaches line "2" it seams my central defenders gets very deep, almost at my goal line.

If I wasn't being busy with making a tactic for tomorrow against Srbija I might've..
2010-05-06 15:53:48
Khm ... xD

@ Mike

Well, I have all time in the world, cuz tomorrow we play against those dutch kiddos, and I could tell you something, 4 sure ... lol =D

Strikers too low when the ball is on your half, and at the opponent half - if you think that you'll cover midfielders with pushing one central and two wing backs, with knowledge that you are new in this game, that positioning can only harm your team ...
And why - there is no way that your defs are diviners in pace, and even then - they, all five of them, should be in the line ... =))

Anyhow - for a newcomer, quite interesting view of making tactics! ;)

back to mithos - joke aside - good luck tomorrow

Thank you kindly for your input here.

So you recon i should put my defenders 2,4,6 in a line at the midfield line. If thats the case then i'll have a big gap in the midfield unless i draw back 8 to compensate. But then it looks like i'm losing preasure around the money zone, hmm i'll need to look this over again i guess.
Push my 2 attackers 2 steps up?

And yes, my defenders arent realy Gordon when it comes to pace :P

Peace
Mike

way too static

at the start, when in bottom corner, leave 1 player wideish to cover that.. the other 4 should all be central, (4 is way too wide, 2 is widest that he should be...that is what will be tactic on corners...
similarly when on the other side...

at 9 seconds... you are doing the sideline, 7 should be wider, and maybe a bit closer.. he can recieve throwins then from 5 who takes them.. 8 and 9 can be brought across as a result to fill space, similarly on the other side at 16 seconds, this is again a problem

the next line (18 seconds to higher, 3 defensive mids?? push 8 higher, or else push the 2 side mids higher up field..once again consider altering for throwins..

strikers are very narrow at midfield.. can be a good idea to split them up to find a weakness in opponents defence, but whatever works.. takes time to see what works for them... they are only targets at this time...

e.g 25 seconds.. consider pushing 9 up more as another target.. also one of attackers wider to exploit wingbacks who are usually weaker at tacking and receiveing ball

when in opponents corners.. push 2 players up there incase its a throw... and put player who you want to take corner (best passing) closest to corner to take it for good cross :)
