adaca para adaca
but got a bit inspired, so i made the opposite wing of where ball is go further in so i could do a single side by side.. :)
Because i also experienced a lot that when def stepping forward, the def gets open

I made some different tactics that all looks a bit the same, but there are some differences. For example in Sokker Tactic 532 to 442 there are 2 wing-defs for almost the whole time when the ball is on my own half and on the sideline. In Sokker Tactic 532 this only happens at the last moment, but then the mids are positioned more on the sideline.

So it could depend (a bit) on the wing-mids or wing-atts of opponent which 1 will work better. If the other has strong wing-mids or wing-atts the first tactic could work better, but if a manager has really good def-mids the second could also work fine. Ofcourse all depends also on the opponents tactic and line-up. Sometimes the tactics need to be changed a bit if a different line-up will not cover the whole problem ;)

And I leave 1 spot open in the wingfield when I attack, as I only play with 1 wing-mid, that's a choice that I made with this tactic. I would love to have 1 more player to cover that spot, but unfortunately only 11 players can be used :P But I mirror the tactic so I can play with at least 2 different kind of tactics and the opponent won't know which 1 I will choose so that way I force him always to play with 2 wing-defs ;)

EDIT: all my tactics on Youtube.

Thanks for the help I am going to try and build a tactic on yours. I might need to make some minor changes depending on my players but I will give it a try on my next friendly. I will name it after you LOL

It's always a good idea to make some changes in example tactics that you get from Youtube so you can get the most out of your own players :)

And your welcome :) I hope you get more points with the new tactic(s).

The only error in his tactics are when the ball are on the side in your own half, nobody put pressure on the wing... :) otherwise they are very nice.. :)

For the 'Sokker Tactic 532' and 'Sokker Tactic 442' tactics, only in the corners on your own half the pressure is a bit gone, but 1 square above there is still at least a double defense by defs or def-mids. And if a winger passes the wing-def the other def or def-mid will try to stop the winger as he is the next one closest to the ball. And yeh, it doesn't always go as planned, but most of the times wingers won't get that much space to run freely on the sidelines.

The 'Sokker Tactic Basic 532' tactics will have more problems defending strong wingers, but these are also not made to stop strong wingers. These tactics are good for matches when the opponents don't play with (stong) wingers and for junior matches ;)

Used tactics in friendly, was not a strong team. Got good result. I will find a stronger team to test tactics next.
2011-12-07 20:56:18
That was an easy win :P Your defense isn't really tested this match.

Sure next friendly will be with a better team as this friendly was already fixed.

Thanks :)

Can anyone advice me on this tactic? http://screencast.com/t/iWXg3quSHVhY

I made it using some help from Sokker organizer so i can know where my players perform better.

I would say:

- Make sure your 4 defenders (numbers 2, 4, 5, 7) always play at 1 line, not 1 in front of the others.
- When the ball comes closer to your keepers-area, put the defenders closer to each other, and when the ball is in your keepers-area put more players in your keepers-area. Think like real soccer, it's always busy around a keeper with defenders and def-midfielders when the ball is that close too your own goal.
- Put at least 1 striker closer to the goal of the opponent, right on top of his keeper, when the ball is in the keepers-area of the opponent.
- When the ball is in the corner of the opponent don't let your strikers go for the ball but 1 of the wingers, put the strikers in the keepers-area of the opponent.

Take a look at this tactic to see what I mean with defenders at 1 line and closer to each other when the opponent comes closer to your goal, more players in your own keepers-area when the ball is close to your own goal, mid-wingers in the corners in stead of strikers and all strikers in the keepers-area of the opponent when the ball is also in the keepers-area of the opponent:

(I don't mean to copy this tactic completely, but you can use it as an example and change the things you think that will be better for your own players :))

EDIT: you can also use Apollo (zip) to find the best line-up, with the help of 'squad'.
