Asunto: Sokker Extensions

Sokker claims to have copyrights, but I really don't know where they are. Ask the devs for it. Then you'll see what is allowed and what is not.

Too bad we can't use data.php anymore.. It was allways handy to see how slightly injured a player was, and how long it took to finih my stadium..

you can still check it manually.

You didn't, but Evelio did, and was already in place. That's what probably triggered the last announcement.

To be clear, what exSokker does with the flash data is NOT allowed. Greg actually told this to evalio directly.

I don't think there's anything else that's not allowed with exSokker, so if that part is removed, it should be fine.

There's no need for anyone to download the match file, it's available via the game as long as you have permission to see it (ie plus or it's your own match).

The announce says there is copyright for sokker, but I can't find it anywhere. I thought that copyrights should be clearly seeable.

But is recording with a recording program forbidden too?

Copyright law on a website does not require the copyright to be explicitly stated to be in force.

In any case, it's not allowed, whether you choose to believe it's due to copyright or due to just the devs of the game saying it's not allowed ;)

Recording parts of the match, especially to display it on a site like youtube is allowed, as long as you're not trading or storing the entire match to get around plus or something silly like that.

Edit: I should say here that i'm not a lawyer and what i said above is what i thnk is true, not based on my studies of the law. In any case it's kinda irrelevant, eh?

I am a lawyer, and what you say is true.

But sokker could have expected earlier that this would happen. As its for a big amount of people impossible to pay plus you know. So I really recommend to implement a pay per phone system. Like jockwars uses since I recommended them to do so.

The prices are of course much higher than when you pay it per bank or per creditcard but lets say that one month is 22/12=1.83 pay per phone would be then 3 or 4 €. ( or in the worst case 5€ but that wouldn't be a problem for me as I get 10€ per month to spend on)

But of course I understand the rules of sokker. (whether you call it copyright disclaimer or whatever :D) Plus would be like a donation without real advantages. People wouldn't be determined to pay for something without anything nice in return. ( who wants to pay for watching other people's when you can download them for zip) :-)

I don't know, i was probably the first person who said to Evelio that exSokker could have some troubles with the copyright but another person said, if Evelio can improve his extension constantly (and you know, he studies and all that stuff, in other words he has a real life), the devs should improve the game too including the advantages to the plus people and don't just block the advance of some users.

complementing diamania and dasanchez comments i think they can improve other things and offer them to plus user instead of game view, may be better uniforms, special cups like master league or copa america, junior league( a 2nd team of junior) there is a lot of stuff without breaking the advantage rule
