Not sure if all the links in this post are still working, didn't check them all. These are links to make logos yourself in the most easy way.

Want to make real logos with paint.net yourself? Look at page 422 - How to make Sokker logos the easy way! (link) of this topic how to do that, or my post below this post.

Nice to have: Smart Shirt Designer 2.2 (download in first post).

Some more options to make logos/crests yourself:
www.makeyourcoatofarms.com (printscreen when shield is finished, paste in paint, cut/resize shield to right size, and upload final shield to for example imageshack.us, use the right size max size 250x250. Now you can use the url in Sokker media)
www.allfamilycrests.com (when shield is finished do the same steps as above)
www.imaginon.org (when shield is finished choose 'print' and do the steps as above)
inkwellideas.com (takes some time to load before it can be used)
www.makeyourcoatofarms.com (registration needed)

Also some ok options, www.signgenerator.org (with possibility to 'Add Neat Effects'). A few examples that I like:
Kings Shield Generator
Eagle Symbol Generator
Skull Silhouette Generator
Intel Inside Logo Generator
Steelers Logo Generator
Easy Button Generator
(Save to pc when finished, and upload logo to imageshack.us, use the right size max 250x250. Now you can use the url in Sokker media)

And here are many more of this kind of sites: www.sparesomechange.com.

Or you can download free software to make logos on download.cnet.com - logo design

Have fun :)

This is copied of page 422 :)

How to make Sokker logos the easy way!

First of all, download Paint.net to make logos, here you can download this program. It's free and open-source. You can add all kind of plugins to make the program even better for making logos.
Paint.net FREE download (ZIP file) or visit the website www.getpaint.net

Here you can find tutorials on Paint.net: Paint.net Tutorials

And here you can find the plugins: Paint.net Plugins

I learned making logos by watching a lot of Youtube videos, and did exactly what they did, also I had some help from other Sokker managers (again, thanks for the help!). In the beginning it's a bit difficult and that’s normal because it’s all new. But it won't take that long to learn the basics of Paint.net and become better and better in making nice logos :)

These videos show you the basics of Paint.net, not really interesting yet, but he explains it well and it's really important to know this. Watch these 3 videos first:

This is already more interesting, how to make fire effect:

And this is how to play with text, also nice:

The next videos are made by a guy who made many Paint.net tutorials: Paint.NET tutorial number 0 till 124. Just watch some of his videos, do what he does and learn the program.

Basic stuff for beginners:

How to get plugins:

Text effect:

Basic logo:

etc. etc.

Also very helpful, here you can find shields, crests and logos that you can copy and use in Paint.net as a basis for own logos:
Google - empty shield
Google - empty crest
Google - logo
Google - soccer silhouette
etc. etc.

This is also good to know, here you can find many sites with free text fonts:
Google - free text fonts

Now that you know all this info, you can start making your first logo yourself:
● Open Paint.net.
● Copy a (empty) shield/crest/logo from Google.
● Open a new page in Paint.net, add a new layer (first layer stays empty), select this layer and paste the shield/crest/logo in this new layer.
● Use tool ‘Magic Wand’ to select everything in the shield/crest/logo that you want to delete. After selecting what you want to delete, push delete key on your keyboard. And now you have an empty logo to work with.
● Now you can add your own colors to the your new empty logo with tool ‘Paint Bucket’.
● Add another new layer, select this layer, then select text font, size and color, and type text in this new layer. If you want for example circle text, download plugin ‘Circle Text v1.2’. When your text is ready, move it to the right spot in your logo.
● You can also add for example a soccer silhouette. Add another new layer and select this new layer. Copy a soccer silhouette from Google and add this to the new layer. Select the white area around the soccer silhouette with tool ‘Magic Wand’ and delete it. Use tool ‘Move Selected Pixels’ to move your soccer silhouette to the right spot in your logo.
● Do you see too much pixels in a layer or layers, select the layer and use ‘Basic Antialias’ (effects > object) or download plugin ‘AA´s Assistant’ and use this to make everything more smooth.
● When all layers look good, merge all layers down (from the top layer down to the bottom layer) so it becomes 1 picture.
● If there is too much white space around your logo, use tool 'Rectangle Select' and select a rectangle area around your logo and crop the selected area (image > Crop to Selection).
● Do you want to add shadow the easiest way, download the plugin ‘Drop Shadow’ and use this to add shadow.
● Resize the picture to ±249 by ±249 so it looks good in Sokker (image > resize), and save as .png file. (or max size must be 249 on one side)
That’s all, you have made your own first very basic logo the easy way.

For those who like it, I hope this info helps you to get started with Paint.net :)

Have fun and good luck!

EDIT: Ofcourse you can also use Photoshop (tutorial videos) or GIMP (tutorial videos).
