Imo, it was an offside...
2006-03-11 15:51:34
???

look at the screenshot - it is obvious!!
2006-03-11 15:52:45
Are you sure, that you know, what is exactly offside?
2006-03-11 15:59:15
i would see when the ball is in the foot of the player...not after 1 second :)
2006-03-11 16:00:29
it is rather 1 milisecond then 1 second ...I'll make the screenshot 1 ms before if you want
2006-03-11 16:02:48
It wasn't offside if you look at that screenshot. The blue guy is a defender..
2006-03-11 16:05:31
Of course it wasn't, don't know what they are talking about!
2006-03-11 16:08:51
I think that Peeter thought that the blue guy was a striker, but of couse I might be wrong..
2006-03-11 16:11:48
The blue guy is a defender, I know that.
2006-03-11 16:14:12
Then why do you think it was offside?
2006-03-11 16:17:35
My english isn´t that good, I cannot explain that:)
2006-03-11 16:18:51
Here is the screenshot just 1 milisecond before our defender kicked the ball (and the last screenshot was just 1 milisecond after our defender kicked the ball):

Just before kicking the ball

As you see in both screenshots it is obvious that there was no offside!

On this screenshot our striker should be right of the line I draw if he is to be in offside - it's obvious he was 2-3 meters left from the line.

I've experienced it a lot of times - my strikers are on the same line or in front of the defenders like yours and the 'referee' whistles an offside. Seems like it's no bug and the game engine has a little misunderstanding about offsides
2006-03-11 16:32:25
But I've also experienced situations when my strikers were in line with opponents defenders and the referee didn't whistled an offside (which is correct)...don't know why should be then whistled as offside situations when my strikers were onside by 2 meters??

The only explanation I see is what felix said:
"Referee mistake... happens"

Canada lost one game and tied another on goals against that were the same as the one here.

Nothing you can do other than hope that one day you will get the same break. Hasn't happened for me yet, I could show you a dozen called offsides that look exactly the same.

Damned linesmen!
