are you a dev to be saying that you know everything or what?
2007-12-06 21:50:00
I'm more than that... LOL ^^
2007-12-06 21:50:54
Yes... you are god. ^^

Lol. For an offensive Winger, Defending is nearly useless. At least my player I used as winger a few times (magical pace, so he can run back, and outstanding def) didn't really need his defending. And my other winger don't, too.

you talk like you know everything to know about this game.

then tell us how do I get the form up from a player thats never gone beyond adequate form?

well everyone has his own thinking and own tactic.
but for what reason would a winger need def?
to get the ball from the other winger?
then he would need divine defending to get the ball from behind the other winger, right?
well, he needs some defending to not get the red cards every game, but every talented player will make a good level just from general training.
everything else is just a waste of training on that position.

its like training a keeper in technique just because some defender might decide to pass back to him!

maybe stealing a ball from a wingback?

3 weeks to outstanding passing and after in 3 weeks to incredible!

Polluaar had the same, but then on PM (equal training speed as passing). Only thing was that he was 20 years old at that time. So he has a better talent :-P

maybe one day he'll make it, though that are many talented players of his age these days...

Wingbacks at high level kick the ball as fast as they get it so the winger has no chance to steal the ball. My Willis, off winger, haven't got a yellow since 3 seasons :]
2007-12-07 09:27:36
as wingers usually have high speed, they are usually on the same spot waiting for high ball with a defender, and defending helps a lot then... you have to admit that defending can help you to steal the ball at least 4 times per game, so its possible to have more plausible shot situations, which can be a key to victory....
2007-12-07 09:33:11
nope :p make yourself statistics how often does it happen that the ball is in the air on the high wing - almost doesn't happen. and additionally now even when there is, the players just make headers :] so defence isn't that important. and outstanding technique is for example MUCH too low to dribble anyone in 3rd polish league - so I prefer to have brilliant technique and weak def as technique is used much more often :]
2007-12-07 09:58:43
technique is actually never used if you have high paced winger...
2007-12-07 10:09:00
lol
2007-12-07 10:30:49
maybe in lietuva :DD

as said, everyone has his own thinking and different league quality needs different players.
however, if we talk about future star wingers, we talk about wingers people at highest polish league would want and just look a hand full of matches and you will see that pace, passing, playmaking and technique is what you need on the position we talk about (high winger with deadly crosses).
the divine technique is needed because if you play with wingers against someone who doesn't play standardtactics he will put a wingback against your winger.
a wingback needs high defending, but his technique and passing can/will be lower.
