well, it can't hurt to have it.. Strikers have to pass sometimes, you know :)

then he would also need a nice level of passing.
and playmaker has to be very high aswell, else defenders will tackle him before he passes anyhow!
well, he will be 3x divine with 23, then he can still train passing and playmaking :)

I am pretty sure he is the best 18y striker in this game. it confirms my words aswell.

A higher pm player starts running quicker than a low pm player, it can be extremely useful to have high pm in a striker, probably more useful than either passing or defending.

I dont think so... I think it affects only mids because they have to decide weather to pass or run, but strikers dont have a choice, they just run....

playmaking is only needed for passing.

Ah...?

I have one striker with formidable pm and one with hopeless... the hopeless is much weaker, he runs into the gk, and after throw-ins he is waiting for the defender to lose the ball, while my formidable pm striker is just shooting - it's a chance.

In my experience this depends on playmaking... and that's why I think that pm is actual very important for strikers.
