none. Because the stupid game engine does the worst possible way it can be used.
In theory, for direct free kicks, striker is the most important one, followed by PM and then passing
For indirect free kicks, first passing, then PM.
The problem is that you cannot set separate free kick takers for direct and indirect free kicks and you also do not know which kind of free kicks you're gonna get.
By not setting any preference for free kick takers, the ME will place the closest player to the point of the free kick as the set piece taker. This will prevent a player crossing the field, leaving his position open for counters, so in theory, this is the safest decision.

Dtox is questioning the possibility of a 1 weekpop in pace for a talented 16y old. Imo it's already possible for a player with talent around 3,5. I even saw one this weekend from a 16y old on TL. Someone still has a proof on SA or just through PLUS? Thanks!
I think its urban legend... :)
2 pops in pace one after another? Or just pop after one training?
Think you need way more than 100 Skill Points (for Talent around 3.5) to pop in pace, even at low levels.
I'm questioning it too! :)

A 1 week pop should be possible up to solid pace for a 16 yo with top talent.

Offcourse you need more than 100 points, but there have to be some "sub" after the previous pop offcourse.

Values taken from SA. So in theory any skill with 199 or less points should be doable for a 1 week pop.

Some of these numbers are way too optimistic. For example numbers under 100 in "2" suggest that it's possible to pop directly from 0 (0.99) to 2 (2.00), but it never happens. I don't think you see pops after 1 training to 10 either, and you would see them with these numbers under 200.
SA uses constant proportion on points needed between levels (1.094 multiplier on default), but I think sokker uses some kind of curve function to determine these proportions, with a bit lower values on lowest skills (maybe logarithm?).
Similar thing might apply to age proportions.
Btw. looking at my players' pops in striker from general training it's harder to train now, should be about the same as pace at 16yo (but I think striker doesn't suffer from the higher age multiplier like pace does, so at later ages it's not as bad as pace).

Exactly my opinion!
I don't have unearthly assistants so I can't confirm how would it look like with best possible training/age/talent circumstances. Would like to see, however, when someone have any proof.

I don't think it's top talent, by my fastest pop with my current team is to average passing (17yo) within 9 GT:

I don't have the data, but it does seem like the striker training might be a bit harder to train than it was before
definitely closer to pace training than to tech etc. training in my opinion

Bad news for me. I am just selling one magic attacker 24 years old thinking next season i will play with younger 19 year old solid :D
I've found a post that a junior didn't pop in 14 weeks even once (old YS system) with magical coach.
So seems that at least talent 15,0 is possible :)

That explains a lot... I'll let one junior there just to see how bad can talent be! :))
why the coach is important for YS? better coach = better talented player will be?
