I still have nightmares of it :P .. das des dem das, die der dem die or something like that etc and an auf hinter gegen uber unter vor zwischen etc :P I still remember them all a bit but 'finally' it's getting out of my head ...
Every german teacher in the Netherlands is the same .. mine told me that if he should wake you in the middle of the night that we should tell him all these lines right away. And unfortunatly he ment it :P

Just find learning sides on the internet (BBC has 1) and really try to talk to germans on the internet with games. I knew a Argentinian guy who understood a bit of dutch but after a few months he really understood dutch because he played a game, Footstar, in a Dutch team and could read all the dutch words and if he didn't understood he looked it up or asked etc ... Also his team helped him .. and everything together made him learn dutch. Still not 'good enough' because visiting the country is a hugh advantage to learn a language .. but still, he learned really a lot :)

That's not true. It would have been true if you would have been talking about Brittish English.
