3 packs a day? Wow, how is that even possible?
Good thing you do the electric thing now.
I had to study for my education some pathology, about lung cancer, the odds of getting lung cancer when you smoke were even bigger than I thought they would be and the risk of heart deseases of a 40 year old smoker is like equal to that of a 70 year old non smoker!

Statistics from my professor, he's a cardiologist in hospital in Antwerp.

Thanks

I was more interested in the lung cancer part though

from what I've heard [might be wrong] there isn't a strong correlation between smoking and appearance of lung cancer. There is a strong correlation between the pre-lung cancer smoking and chances to 'heal' the cancer.

I'll see if I can find the lung cancer part

Good thing you do the electric thing now.

Not really true, or better, really not true. E-cigarettes aren't good for people either, not only because it's still a nicotin addiction (a product of the tobacco industry), but also the e-cigarette itself is still bad for people who use it. In these sigarette cartridges chemicals are used, diethylene glycol (a chemical used in antifreeze, toxic to humans) and other carcinogens, including nitrosamines.

And the terrible thing is, the false 'it is healthier' advertisement you see from e-cigarettes can cause more people to start smoking these sigarettes, and that's what the tobacco industry wants, more smokers who get addicted as that's how they make a lot of money.
