3 of my mates work at Deloitte...it's not that bad from what they say, though they have to work in different cities quite often.

and believe me, studying taxes sounds for me the same as linguistics sound for you :p

although in my defence, it was applied linguistics, so mostly concentrated on translation. If I would have to study theoretic linguistics I would kill myself.

I'm a Claims Handler for a motor legal expenses firm.

So nothing to do with what I studied lol

Good luck with the book :)

Yep, most of my friends who are already working are at Deloitte or PwC.

It depends on what you do within those firms (tax & legal, auditing or consultancy).

My friends are at auditing.

I'm also thinking about trying my luck at one of the big4, although I would probably need at least a year of some financial studies to be considered.

Although from what I've hear there are some employees at higher levels who don't even have a Master's degree...

Not because I have to, but because I want to.

Free will/choice and addiction in 1 sentence is interesting and more then questionable ;)

I was seeing a girl for a month-two, she wasn't really happy with me smoking - no problem, I wasn't smoking when I was with her and before I was meeting her.

I quit smoking beginning of last September, but when I take a shirt or sweater of the bottom of the pile, that I haven't worn yet sinds then, it still smells of old smoke really strong, and I have my closet doors open all the time since Septermber to get rid of the smell. The smell of smoke is in everything. So trust me, she absolutely did smell you are a smoker, the only ones who don't smell it are (other) smokers ;)

man, is not b.o.
2014-01-28 10:54:32
She knew I am a smoker ;) I just wasn't smoking while with her :)

Doesn't work, believe me I tried. The only way to get rid of the smell is to wash all my clothes, even after almost 5 months the smell is there. You don't smell it because you smoke the whole day, others do smell it right away, you can't hide it.
