Bird houses is fun to make, specially with kids. So easy. And making them colorful is also fun for kids (use bird friendly paint ;)).

Easy 'rule' for hanging a bird house, about 2 meters high and entrance facing the upcoming sun in the morning.


Or use an old shoe :)

my dad made postal box in shape of "istrian old house - kažun", looks like this:



and for few years now we have birds occupying it XD.. and now he made second one specifically design for them and out of reach of cats :)
