Asunto: Ultimate Manager
The economic system is going to be very interesting in this game, it will be an epic fail or it might end up being a great implementation, I doubt it is going to be in the middle :P.
They are trying to lower the money you need to invest in something, but adding a high cost for the maintenance of the asset, as opposed with sokker or other managers that you have to make an investment to acquire something and then it sits forever and ever.
As an example:
Managers in sokker ---> Lots of money in the roulette or pay a high price for the coach and then you have it forever
Managers in UM, low cost to acquire, but for a short term, every year or so you have to recycle managers. With that the price of the salaries can change from one year to another, if UM is lacking of money, make them cheaper, if there is inflation, then make them more expensive.
Stadium in sokker ---> High invest, then never spend more
Stadium in UM ---> cheap invest, but you have to continuously spend money in repairing, if not, your stadium starts loosing capacity.
Also they added this "selling to the federation", and some rules to disallow trading.
So i guess they are attempting to do things differently. It will be interesting, maybe to have a laugh, maybe not.

I haven't been active lately. Spending a lot of time in Pmanager where I'm managing Belgian NT and playing the world cup ;)
I like very much the new economic rules. I've got now coach like this:
Goalkeeping 15
Tackle 14
Striking 15
Head 17
Pace 15
Passing 16
Technique 15
Playmaking 17
On TL he might cost more than 300k.

Very good explanation Mister Castor. It will be interesting no doubt about it.
I do like the new economic system, it was a good improvement comparing it to the previous system.

A coach like that in the previous system would have costed over 1.5 million.
he looks average i'd say.
a coach has 3 primary skills that can get to 20, , but his 3 primary skills aren't at 18 level at least...

Popped 0.3 in pace and 0.2 on passing. Am I right in thinking that he is not aDEF or a MID? Now training pace/pass, if he pops well in passing as well, he's a MIO/GK, if not, he's a striker, right?

Its average right now like Ice T said, but in the previous economic system a coach like this was considered VERY GOOD and would have costed a fortune.
Popped 0.3 in pace and 0.2 on passing
i guess you wanted to say tackling?! :)
well i'd give him one more time tackling, he may go 0.3 cause its not a constant..players sometimes pop a bit faster or lower...

Yes, thats what I meant :)
Be pretty useful if he is a defender I will say :P

Like Ice-T said already, you cannot decide this after only one training.
However, after his 2nd 0.3 pop in pace you know how long you have to wait at most to find out his position with training of another skill.

not a defender.
Also guys don't forget : in UM there are untalented players, so if you see they have low pops at every skills, sack them
