Maths spammers - I need help :P

Doing a statistics part of a course.

Venn Diagrams.

Example A: P=(CnD') - Calculate C without the intersection. I know this is true.

Example B P=(D'/C) - Given that C is true, calculate everything that isnt D. It seems like the same as example A, but isnt. Why?

I'm a genius at maths
But I don't understand it in English :(
2011-09-09 23:50:24
Me and two friends can't think of what else it could be :/
2011-09-10 00:13:05
But it is the same?
At least seems so.

Well, the answers given are drastically different. Example A is 0.15 whilst Example b is like 0.683
2011-09-10 00:19:48
B cant be that big.

CnD´/C

gives you that big answer?

In this case, it means "in C but not in D" - which should just be C minus the intersection. Or am I misunderstanding this and you?
2011-09-10 00:25:32
And the answer page gave me that answer when I checked my answers.
2011-09-10 00:28:30
fuk, its hard to do like that :P

P(C/D) = 1-P(C´/D)

basically A shows what percent is not covered and B should show what percent is free of that not covered area. Thats why its different.

am i really lost or not?:p
