I want something simple, if possible then not in 1 color but some gray tone wouldnt be too bad.

And I can tell you that you have to use a form of CSS coding with the HTML (a CSS stylesheet?)

I've just started a programming course too - I wish it was game programming but either will do - I can learn game coding in my free time :P.

A .css extension is what is required. In it, you can do stuff like so:
