Yep, no more triple-A and that's a pity because it costs money.
It won't. People knew this was going to happen, and as you know, anticipated changes are included in the price mechanism, so no, your interest rate won't go up because of this.
Ofcourse this was about to happen with all the cuts and a lame government without the majority of the seats which makes it even harder to move forward.
Without a majority of the seats in a non-directly elected (and quite frankly, minor) Chamber of the Dutch Parliament. In the more important Chamber of the Dutch Parliament, they have a sufficient majority.

I'm sorry? The 'Eerste Kamer' can block all bills (bills as in new law proposals).
And how does that contradicts my statement? I'm not saying the Dutch Senate has no important blocking rights. I'm saying it's the minor Chamber (when comparing with the House of Representatives) in the Dutch Parliament (this is simply a fact), and it is not directly elected (also a fact).
And yes, the current government has no majority in the Senate. So? As long as the bills get a majority, what's wrong? Not every single bill has to be voted in blocs (government coalition vs. opposition). Sometimes, Charles, parts of the opposition can agree or make an agreement with the coalition parties. There is nothing wrong with that. It doesn't make the laws any less legitimate, or whatever your reason was for mentioning that.

No, but it doesn't make the system go any faster, a lot more needs to be negotiated which isn't needed with a majority in both chambers so all takes a lot longer.
Anyway, this was all, I'm not going to have any discussions with you, doesn't matter what the subject is.

Those rating bureaus have no economic authority to play any fundamental role in the creditworthiness of countries. They are not good at evaluating credit risk of companies, let alone countries. Ignore them.
The "authority" they have is that potential lenders place value in the ratings. The higher rating the less risk lenders perceive, so they do not charge as much interest to lend money.

They evaluated Greek bonds as safe, they evaluated ... Everyone giving importance to those ratings is blind. Or has a very short memory.
(It is easier to rate companies, and those ratings will be more reliable. However, we were talking about the ratings of countries.)

I am not saying they are right ALL the time, or even most of the time. However lenders seem to think they are, or at least is worthy of consideration.
I'm not denying that. I'm just saying that the increase does not reflect a worse financial situation (for the country).
Why democracy is - even today - not a good political system: Croatia voted in a referendum today pro discrimination by forbidding equal marriage rights to homosexuals. The masses are stupid.
The masses are stupid.
This is a Lapalissade ;-)
Did you ever find a mass with brain ? No, a mass only act with emotion not with rationality.

so what 'political' system would you prefer?

since you brought up marriage....lets say that we lived in a region that was autonomous and was 'libertarian. men could marry women, women marry women, and men marry men. fine.
A man want to marry an orphan, with no family. This orphan was 15. Is this alright. Or 12, or 10. Or 8 or 6. Does this person have the right to marry ANYONE he chooses to marry. Or should he be stopped from marrying a 6 year old? What say you?
EDIT- I would be appalled at some 30ish year old person marrying a 10 year old. the mere thought is revolting to me.
If you say you are a minimalist libertarian ( need a standing army, need a court system, need a police system ) Fine. But why have a court system without laws. and who votes on the laws?
If you are a 'true, total libertarian' (anarchist) then that is folly.

A libertarian one back to stone edge ? not bad...but it's hard to live , to procreating...smart guys wants to be smart..in fact this is the only impediment...I would opt for a religious state with super control and helped by science
This shows how much you care about reality. Every possible thing you could use - regardless of the quality of the source - to break down austerity is being used by you.
dear kid,
i posted (months ago) an article that showed how in netherlands unemployment grows, houses costs go down, tha rate of mortgage not payed are rising..
the main question was: how to deal with those signals?
the gov choosed the austherity politics (no deficit, more taxation, less welfare services)
now arrives the first (symbolical) sign of the fact this private crisis go to involve the financial sector.
So next step is financial and work crisis.
And about numbers, it was easier if you check google by yourself, but if you like something so simple to make possible you to understand it too..:
economist
